Here's why - The ref blow for a free kick so play stopped so you can't book people for fouls after the game has stopped. Violent conduct, abusive language, etc Yes, but not this. I'll accept it because it was a bookable challenge but the game was stopped so it shouldn't count.

As for people getting booked while being on the subs bench, it's a joke whether it's Van Nistelrooy, Claudio Caniggia or anyone else who it's happened to. Nobody will be able to convince me why it makes sense to book people who aren't on the field.

Anyone who doesn't think it was a booking needs there head examined, seriously, I guess I respond to it because when it comes to football, you seem like an easy target .

Did you see tonights highlights? I guess they cleverley edited out the parts where Liverpool were getting decisions, if the ref was as bad as you say they would have had a penalty when Rooney pushed over Hyypia in the box (not saying it was a penalty but the angle certainly made it look like it may have been) and after Rooney got booked (lucky to get away with the handball) he then said "fuck off ref" clear as you like.

I had alot more examples that they show in the highlights of Liverpool not getting decisions, as it happens, my memory isn't the best and I have now forgotten alot of them. But to say that they got everything is a joke, as is your dad, you say he is a die hard Chelsea fan yet he "goes mad" at the TV when the team most likely to catch us apparently don't get decisions there way.

errrrrr...could you quote where I blamed the ref for the sending offs?

Infact I CLEARLY said LuaLua was stupid to react to them and he was rightly sent off for doing that.

My post was complaining about how the referee let them get away with 90 minutes of constant cynical fouling and dirty tactics, which 2 minutes of highlights doesn't show you and which lead to our players reacting and getting sent off.

Thats what they wanted you see Darren...thats what players like Robbie Savage do, they spend the game trying to wind up players with their annoying niggling tactics in the hope that they'll react and get themselves sent off. Robbie Savage will fit right in there. Players don't headbutt other players for no reason...It was stupid and he deserved the sending off, im not denying that at all.

As far as Faye goes I will defend him because I think both incidents were 50/50 balls that he had a right to play for, there was no intent at all, for the first one both of them went to ground to go for the ball and for the second one the keeper had dropped the ball, it was loose and he went for it...then for some reason their defender hit the deck after no contact at all.

I didn't say you did blame the red, I said if you do THEN you are a moron Rob.

Friedel had the ball, Faye should have pulled out for the most obvious reason of it was dangerous play from him, and Stefanovic trying to stop him getting out the red card was as stupid as the rest of the retardish things your players did today.

We have played Blackburn and they were fine, you are crazy.

All I am syaing is that your players were disgraceful and you have no room to critisize Blackburn.

I can, have and will continue to critisize Blackburn, Dazz. You weren't there. I could happily link you to about 4 or 5 other sites where the common word used to desribe Blackburn was "cynical" but I wont because a) I can't be bothered to go find them again b) you wouldn't read them c) you'll just dismiss them because they're opinions of more Pompey fans.

I have condemed LuaLua had said he was rightly sent off. Headbutt= straight red, im fine with that. It was stupid and he shouldn't have done it.

With Faye its a bit different because I think he had a right to go for both of the balls since they were 50/50's...Friedel didn't have control of the ball. There was certainly no intent.

And as for your comments about Stefanovic...erm, if you watch a match, anytime the ref sends someone off, atleast one player goes and tries to stop him and talk him out of it, him putting his hand up to the referee is hardly worse than any of the things that normally happen in that situation.

All im saying is you didn't see the constant 90 minutes of niggling play Blackburn went through. Our players were stupid for reacting, we had a poor game and Lua Lua was stupid for what he did but that doesn't mean I can't critisize Blackburn's brand of football.

You are biased towards your team, and I don't care how cynacle they were, there is no excuse for what three of your players did. unless it was a bad camera angle amd and the person I was watching Match of the Day with both thought he tried to stop the ref showing Faye the red card.

yes but to be fair you're both basing your comments on 2 minutes of highlights that showed the goal, one foul from them, Faye's 1st booking, Lua Lua's sending off, Faye's 2nd booking and then Lawrenson taking about 5 minutes to try and make a witty comment...and failing badly.

Thats doesn't reflect the whole 90 minutes.

yes, of course im biased towards my team. And the league table says otherwise about Blackburn > Portsmouth.

"No excuses for what three of your players did" I haven't given any excuses for Lua Lua, ive condemed that all along, Faye I still think was two 50/50 balls that he had a right to go for, maybe they were two yellow card offences, i never said they weren't, i just said there was no malicious intent, like you were implying. And the Stefanovic incident is just you being gay.

He half heartedly walked over to the referee and put his hand up to block the view of the card...Whenever the ref gives a decision against a team people do stuff like that. The entire United team chased the ref around the pitch screaming at him when he gave that penalty against Middlesbrough, the entire Arsenal team went and made the referee change his decision when he awarded that penalty against Fulham, in the West Brom vs Newcastle match last week Andy Johnson was on a yellow card, comitted a foul and the ref got his book out to send him off, the team surrounded the ref and talked him into putting it away, even though im pretty sure the rules say once you get your book out you have you book the player. The bottom line is refs sometimes change their minds so players try it on...thats all Stefanovic was doing.

I was just talking to Wengerland on MSN and it sounds like maybe I didn't explain too well, so this is my final post on it, just clarifying my points:
* LuaLua deserved to be sent off
* Faye deserved to be sent off
* However I didn't think there was any malicious intent in Faye's tackles as he had every right to play for two 50/50 balls
* The referee was very lienient to their constant cynical fouls, considering he sent 2 of our players off
* They were terrible and dirty for the entire match, which is why Lua Lua reacted
* Lua Lua was stupid to react
* Dazz's point about Stefanovic is just gay

And when other teams do what they do people critisize them for it, like the Arsenal and ManYoo examples. If it wasn't West fucking Brom people would have dissed that too, Stefanovic should have been booked for acting like a twat. He always lets Pompey down, like when he tripped up Pires for the penalty at Highbury last season. Useless fucking moron.

Teams like Bolton are much more annoying I am willing to bet, you are just upset that Yakubu is going, Faye is staying, and you will have to endure more or Lua Lua Lua Lua when the Yak is outtie.
