None of those people were working for the televised competition until a few weeks ago. Anyone in the Andre Battle Royal, in the 24/7 division, waiting on the wings (Elias, Veer), not yet booked (Madcap Moss, Ricochet).

We’ve previously established your loose definition of “star”, but none of those you’ve listed have the potential to bring in viewers/noise to this WrestleMania. Ricochet will end up booked into something, he is the “#2 babyface on SmackDown” after all.

Plus, the ball is firmly in WWE’s court in terms of the optics; you can present it as you are, or you present it that one of the “founding fathers” of the “opposition” up and left to come back to the big leagues. Or, and this one is probably more likely, you don’t mention it at all.

Plus, you have him lose to Rollins.

That’s not how they think. They never bring in someone from another wrestling promotion to be a big deal right away. It’s not about how I would book, it’s about what I expect. I don’t expect to see Cody Rhodes rushed back to WWE TV. If he is, so be it. I’ll be slightly surprised. But I’m just explaining why I don’t think it’s shocking Cody wasn’t on the Jacksonville Raw.
