Much like Brockmire, it took a one-off sports joke and became an entire universe unto itself. It's written well, the song choices are very deliberate, and *nearly* every character is a whole person (except maybe Rupert) with their flaws and charms. And Roy Kent is the fucking best. Also, a joke that isn't really a joke unless you know about it, the series starts with a Division 2 championship win by the Wichita State football team. Problem is, Wichita State hasn't had a football team in decades. And with both the influx of alumni money (read: Koch Brothers) and how much they usually rake in from both basketball and, surprisingly, baseball, that's not likely to change anytime soon. They're like to polar opposite of Marshall with that decision.

Season 2 sucked after 3 episodes.... are you telling me to watch it again, Tom?
