I'm like 200ish episodes into bleach now, still waiting for Funimation to start streaming the new season shows and continue the ones that were delayed due to the rona.

Finished all of Strike The Blood for now. Season 4 is currently underway now, but only the first 2 sub episodes are out. There's a delay due to 'rona.

Gonna track down something else to watch. Maybe give Demon Slayer another shot. Didn't jive with me when I watched.

Demon Slayer was really good once it got a few episodes in. I'm currently watching some older shows I never got around to since the rona delay is impacting anime pretty heavily. Watching Blue Exorcist right now. Seems pretty good and I think I'm at the point where things are about to take off.

Blasting through Demon Slayer. Gotta love Adult Swim On Demand.

Started out good. Went off the rails midway through. But looks like it's getting back on track for the home stretch.

Zeroing in on something new to jump into. Appare-Ranman! might be next. Looks like Wacky Races when we were growing up meets Anime.

Appare-Ranman! is good stuff. Slow build to the craziness that's bound to happen.

Also watching The 8th Son? You got to be kidding! Typical fantasy plot you've probably seen in other anime, but I'm giving it a whirl. Dub just started while the sub is about 5-6 episodes in.

Watching through the Netflix Ghost in the Shell.


The animation style really blows. It seems like they used really old tech, or just maybe couldn't utilize it well. I wouldn't think they would leave it clunky looking "on purpose".

Indeed. Found myself going back to watch SAC instead of this stuff......




really trying because I love the Ghost In The Shell universe..... but it reminds me of Reboot from the 90s.

Zipped through Food (Porn) Wars! A few other series I'm watching are delayed due to the virus.

Sweet concept, great animation. A literal feast for the eyes.

I hope season 2 gets some romance going. That's obviously on a slow burn.

The 8th Son... season 1 wrapped up. Started interesting. Ended dull. Felt like it was going to be a 24 episode run. But it was 12. Eh.

Also at the back end of season 3 of Food Wars. The dub stops there and goes to subs for season 4. Which, I got no problem with. But this is great. If anyone's looking to get in on it, Netflix just grabbed it and put season 1 up.

Some of the other stuff I've been watching are still on hold due to the pandemic. So, going to look around for something new.

Somebody please watch "Dorohedoro" on Netflix and talk about it a bit so I understand it more in the context of modern anime.

The humour and style are just bonkers, it's very very cool. It sounds weirder than it is though.
I dunno how to describe it beyond - a guy with a lizard head kills sorcerer's for information regarding his transformation from man to lizard man. He puts their heads in his mouth and a man inside him judges them.
They all die.

His female sidekick is better at fighting than him and has big boobs. She is a chef.

It's the best thing since One Punch Man but not actually as good.

Two burly sorcerer assassins are trying to defeat them. There are bigger enemies, sorcerer's with higher status etc.

It has a punk style. I like it.

I finished up Season 1 of "I don't want to get hurt so I'll Max my defense". It's such a cute little anime that leaves just enough for a season 2.

About 8 episodes into Dorohedoro. They did such a great job with this. Animation looks awesome. I normally prefer sub, but the dub in this is just too good. They nailed everyone perfectly.

I had forgotten how great Ebisu is.

Also, it's a small thing but I got really good chuckle from the gargoyle flying around and screaming what time of day it is.

Despite what I said earlier Dorohedoro was as good as One Punch Man, better in some ways but not much worse in others.
