Tajiri in the WWF?
I'll prolly have pleanty more questions after this, I'm looking through my old tapes...
Anyway, I'm watching a RAW from 97 (July I believe) and it seems like it was one of the first matches for the light heavyweight division (They flashed that it was a Light Heavyweight match)... It's Taka Michinoku vs. Tajiri Yoshahiro... How long was Tajiri in the WWF? Was this a one time deal? |

You're right..the ECW invasion happened in February and the match in question happened on July 14th.
So, it was probably just a one-time deal. |

He and Super Crazy (Super Loco in WWF) were part of the SuperAstros programme that focused on light-heavyweights for the latin audience. Both were brought onto Raw to do light-heavy matches when Taka's popularity took off. They did a few matches each and were around until the finals of the light heavyweight title tournament.

I didn't know either were ever in the WWE. Although I didn't realise that Essa Rios was the light-heavyweight dude in the mask.

Tajiri worked for WWF on and off in the mid-90's quite a bit, on TV and off.
He worked for them once on a RAW back in 1996 I think, teaming with some job guy against The Godwinns I believe it was (either The Godwinns or The Legion Of Doom). |

Well I can remember tiny things from the mid 90s. Don't ask me what happened on WWE TV in the last 2 years though.

^^That's like me. I have no clue what's happened in the WWE the past few years if you ask me. Like 2001-now. But I remember so much crap before that.

You wanna know why that is? I've pinpointed it.
Around the time they bought WCW, they started pissing on titles. 72 title changes a month and nobody could keep track. I bet you knew every IC champ pretty much off the top of your head until then. Everyone stopped caring then. |

Yeah, that is probably why. I can name just about every single Title change from about 85-98 with the Three Big Titles in the WWF. With the IC, I get clouded around when Godfather, Road Dogg and whomever else won it.
