It's pretty fucked up that this type of silliness gets lumped in with actual racism nowadays.
That's what really bothers me. I definitely don't like certain types of joke but this was the sort of thing where you close your eyes and laugh tiredly because you know it's inappropriate. It's not worth the effort of anger because there's nothing to it.
