Phantom Thieves represent rebellion, Joker tried to do the right thing and had his entire future taken from him. Society won't allow them to be the good guys, everyone in power is corrupt so they take control back for themselves. They're anti-heroes through and through.

Also, Sunset Bridge is the best track in the game IMO. Good choice.
