This years draft close looks pretty good. Rasmus Dahlin could easily be the defensive equivalent of Auston Matthews and Connor McDavid. Andrei Svechnikov has some defensive issues, but the kid is a world class talent up front. Great size, speed, smarts, and he’s strong on the puck. I’m not entirely sold on Filip Zadina. He’s got great skill but I’m not sold on his speed. I think Brady Tkachuk will be a decent player, but I don’t think he will be a star like his older brother or his father. I think he’ll be a decent 2nd line player. I think Adam Boqvist has a lot of offensive potential on D, but his defensive game needs some work, otherwise he will just be a glorified PP specialist. He will also need some time in the minors to physically develop. My hope is that my team wins the lottery and drafts Dahlin. Svechnikov would be my 2nd choice, followed by BT.
