I didn't become a fan of Asuka until yesterday, those butt moves were awesome. Didn't get to catch her other stuff in NXT or pre-NXT. She has a bright future in WWE.


The announcers need to figure out where the butt is and stop calling them hips. That'd be sideswipe action. She is hitting them with her brownstar full force

The traditional name for the move is a hip attack. You can find this in the CAW section of the vidya games too. Maybe because they don't want to say "butt" or something? I dunno, but Trinity Uso is going to be pissed if they let Asuka keep the move, since it is her current finisher.

I'm not quite sold on her yet but Nia Jax is definitely going to end up on the main roster at some point. She's an Anoa'i so she's bound to get a chance eventually.

Naomi doesn't use the butt attack all the time, plus I don't really pay attention to her matches, she's just there to me. She brings nothing. Here we have Asuka, who stares at ppl while they are cutting promos and a woman of the Butt Barrage. Even though Asuka reminds me of certain Asian women I've been with, I do applaud her as a wrestler and her match last night won me over as a fan.

I liked how Asuka was hyped from the crowd chanting and played off of it. She was definitely rowdy and entertaining as hell. I watched a few of her matches in Japan and was wondering when we would see this "version" of her character.

She will be the champion.

WWE has gotten Coca Cola as a sponsor, both for Tribute to the Troops and the Slammys, which is something they’ve been wanting for decades. Even though ratings are down and normal business is at no better levels than it’s been for the last few years, they have managed to build a perception the product is hot. Also, NBC Universal, because they now have such a financial stake in WWE with five hours in prime time on USA, had worked hard to change the advertising community’s perception and it clearly has worked to a degree.
NBC has been working very hard to get those advertisers to change their views on wrestling and its working. Hedging all their bets on getting enough advertisers to cover whatever is getting lost by declining ratings and tv interest. Whether they stick around or not is all up to how well the WWE can keep them happy with good shows.

  • For those in the West Coast and interested in going to the upcoming Los Angeles house show that has Lesnar, WWE is currently offering free food vouchers to help beef up ticket sales for the show. Interest right now is a lot lower than the WWE was expecting.
