It changed the ending of the main game, which is what was asked, regardless if the ending was bad or not.

Which for the record, my problem isn't with what happens with Shepard, it's the lack of an ending for everyone else. Could've thrown some text in there like Dragon Age for the fate of your squad/ex-squad members.
