While I'm not exactly bad, I'm not nearly as confident in my SFIV powers as I am in say, BlazBlue or TvC. I spent a good majority of the time in first release SFIV discovering that the character I liked (Vega) was pretty much unplayable, then switching to another main--only to find out that they, too, are practically unplayable (Guile). Long story short, I kind of suck compared to... y'know, good players.

And if I had to guess, the tournament's probably for 360 because that's how these things work. D: And I only have a PS3. Unless I'm mistaken.

Its double elimination which makes it a battle for 3rd, 4th, or 5th mostly. Once you get that far than yeah, you'll have to face Kalyx but you should proud of where you ended up nonetheless.

We've had our differences in the past but I'd love to know where you're getting this idea of me putting defeats in people's faces. see, i used Bison alot because his attacks were mostly charge attacks, so by default i was usually in block mode. I want to stray away from that, but maintain the ability to gain offense from defense, yknow?

Charge characters have high priority normals, so you could take the fight to them and use special moves sparingly. I covered some of this some time ago hold on...

When holding down for his leap attacks, notice his Sweep slides, use it to move forward while charging down. OR just arbitrarily press fierce punch a few times to throw off your opponent while you ready a leap attack. The key for charge characters is to stay busy while charging. All this requires you getting used to buffring commands. With 'Gief, you can do a 360 spin while executing certain attacks (namely the glowing hand).
