I waste dudes with my silenced ACR. It's almost my go-2 weapon. Silenced ACR with Marathon/Cold-Blooded/Ninja and Tactical Insertion saved games. In fact, all of my classes have Tactical Insertion, and I don't miss grenades either (they just don't work for me).

Nah I think they're overrated (grenades.) The only time they're useful is maybe throwing one in the window of a building from the ground or when you get a few enemies in small group, which is rare.

Me and my squad mainstay, D Rep26, had a fucking marathon last night til 5am. We had an awesome run, but what was hilarious was people being fixated on our 'clan tag' "HALO". Guys are telling us to go play it, or asking why we're playing CoD. Good fun. We also have fun trying to get the point across that CoD players seem to have a poor grasp on respawn migration and objective games in general. So many games would be easier if these guys applied some simple concepts, smooth shooters as they are.

Nah, I disagree. If you have a terrible K/D ratio you are pretty much a liability to your team...especially if you mainly play Team Deathmatch (like I do).

Just tried a Free-for-All game. Was killed like 7 times in a 3 minute span.

You'll get better. When I played over Christmas there were loads of new people on who'd obviously just got it as a present and was pissing all over them. Got a 24 kill streak and everything, but now it's back to normal and most people are quite good.

Unless you have a shit connection that is. You're fucked if everyone has a speedier connection than you.

Maybe you should stop moving so much and support your team via recon and cover fire. Also try out the objective games to learn the maps faster. Also in obj. games K/D doesn't matter and you can score big no matter your deaths.

I'm guessing you move wrong and/or don't know how to use line of sight perspective to your advantage. My initial advice to this is to play like a paranoid cripple. Overreaction helps in this game.

I feel that camo is much better in this game. I've been killed a ton by people I legit didn't see at all (not sniping, either).

K/D means nothing in other modes though - I came first in the winning team in a Domination match earlier on today despite having the most deaths on the entire team.

And quite frankly, I couldn't care less about score, kills, whatever - I play it to have fun. The only time I don't enjoy it was when I get tossed into the meat grinder and start getting gunned down every 10 seconds.

That's kinda what it feels like.

It's alright though, sooner or later I'll have a "breakout game". I was pretty terrible in MW1 and World at War for ages as well, then I just put together one or two really good games and I feel good no matter how much I might suck in the future.

The meat grinder thing tends to happen more on the smaller levels with Ground War matches - Scrapyard is terrible for it.

Had a nice game earlier, Hardcore Team Deathmatch for some reason the teams went arseways and it ended up me and one other guy against 6 people. Didn't get anyone on our team the whole game and we masacared them. We both just crept around being sneaky bastards with ninja coldblooded and a silenced sniper.

Had to get rid of Knife Throwing from my class. It's fun and I've had a couple cool kills with it, but more often than not I'll miss and get killed easily (I try to throw-and-kill before they've shot enough to get me).

Gotta practice. Went back to Semtex for the time being.

As for a silenced ACR, what the fuck do you do Kalyx, nothing seems to work for me, anything from midrange in I cant get them down if they see me and start shooting, anything farther out is the same.

Try it with Holo or Red Dot or, dare I say, no special sights at all. Thermal sight is cute but the lag will make it difficult to use in most cases. I get ACR kills mostly at the long range to mid-long range so you may not want to be 'in the shit' when running around with it. Other than that I imagine it's something you're doing, because that gun is a monster even silenced.

I dont know man. I can get 20+ kills and less then 10 deaths using anything on the ACR but the silencer, I find I hit the person with a bullet or two and they turn and now me down. Also the ACR has the best iron sights in the game in my opinion.

Hate the thermal scope. It's such a crutch for sniping. Think I've seen 1 sniper not using it in 2 months.

Why wouldnt you use it? It seems kinda stupid to handicap yourself. Why do you use guns? I have never seen anyone go a whole match without using one. (I know its a retarded analogy) but using what you are the best with and what makes you better is how you win in this game. For example I use a thermal 50 cal, aa12 with extended clips, claymore, smoke (so when i know someone is coming toward me on a map like estate or afghan i can hide my claymores or when there is a group i toss it and snipe them since they cant see me) perks are scavenger, stopping power, steady aim and death is painkiller. I do very well with this class. If you were to give me a acoged scar i would do ok but nowhere as good as with the Barret. as for allegations viat thermal is noobish, christ everything in this game is noobish. For example what is your best class lodown?

Lets see, go prone, hold zoom till something white pops up and shoot. Yeah that's fun and is gonna make someone a better sniper.

Best class? Don't have one, I unlock everything for the mastery challenge for a gun and move on to the next, changing perks as well depending on the gun.

Put Cold Blooded on then. This game is well balanced. Every advantage has a counter to it.

My completely undetectable class has the advantage of being able to sneak up on people but the disadvantage of still being killed first most of the time because you have to pump a full clip into someone when you use a silenced weapon without Stopping Power.

People call anything that kills them noobish. Was playing free for all earlier trying to build my AA-12 up, so it was the only weapon I used. The whole room started crying about how I was using just my shotgun being cheap running around killing everyone. Made me chuckle.

Use the Ump 45 ECG that thing is damn good, and I don't think it suffers at all from putting a silencer on it and going without stopping power.

When I used Juggernaut in the first my answer to the noob taunts was always "Why do you use stopping power? One less bullet to kill. So how does making it one more make me a noob" then i get called a fag As for thermal, like ecg said use cold blooded then, someone using steady aim dont stay still, someone using sitrep, laugh at them. someone using commando plus tactical knife and a care package marker use aa12 or dual akimbos. Also ecg, like previously stated use the ump 45 as it only seems to suffer in range not power. or p90

Yeah, people complain way too much. The only thing that REALLY irks me is people who camp in completely irrelevant locations in a game like Domination. If you are in an overviewing sniping spot, that's one thing...but it's really gay to be sitting in some area with a shotgun when it's nowhere near any of the three locations. Find a place closer to the areas to defend, or use your shotty to try and capture another spot.

Ditto for people who just use Marathon to run around knifing, not actually trying to accomplish anything in the game...just trying to get their K/D stats up even though it's pointless if it's not Team Deathmatch. Was knifed by the same guy like 10 times in one game, and everyone on my team was complaining about the same guy cause that's ALL he did. He didn't have a single capture or defense.

Actually the Marathon/Lightweight/Commando/Tactical Knife combo is a beast for getting promoted. Did 60-62 in an hour when I was trying it out first time through.

I'm only on like level 14...so my main class right now is

-SCAR w/ Red Dot Sight
-Whatever default rocket launcher there is (just cause I'm waiting to shoot down a heli and get the XP points)
-Semtex

-Marathon, 1 less kill needed for Killstreaks, then something else I'm not too wild about but I haven't got many choices

-Deathstreak is the on where I get 10 seconds of increased health

-UAV, Counter UAV, Predator as killstreaks (haven't unlocked most of them yet)<
