I cant remember the last time I played Overgrown on Cod4, fucking assholes glitch into the ground under the fence and cant be killed. Times like that I wish I could reach throw a fucking tv and punch someone in the face.

Those glitches are hilarious. There was this one level where you could go into the pipes underground and shoot all the people walking through the tunnel. And going to the top of the buildings in Old School mode

Throwing your knife better mean you lose it though, can see people becoming annoyingly good with that unless they make sure its fairly unaccurate and has little range since its a guarenteed one shot kill.

Microsoft Releasing 250GB Xbox 360 For Modern Warfare 2



Infinity Ward announced at a press event in Los Angeles today that, to commemorate the release of the game, Microsoft will be releasing a brand new model of the Xbox 360 based on Modern Warfare 2.
This new console will be black, with Modern Warfare 2 branding, and will also come packing a 250GB HDD and two wireless controllers. It'll be $399, and is apparently already available for preorder.

A lot of this is gonna be polarizing. Suppressed snipers (and shottys). A perk that can effectively give you infinite grenades and ammo. A perk that gives you longer melee range. Deathstreaks (even though they don't seem powerful by any means). UAV being able to be shot down. A way to respawn wherever you like. Lots of people are gonna hate this stuff.

Proponents of game balance (like me) would. It's basically an officiated cheat-code arms race. I think CoD can survive without the wackier perks (or any).

I have enough faith in Infinity Ward as a developer to believe that they've got everything more or less balanced out. A lot of details we don't know.

Reading that article, the thought that popped into mind was "Holy fuck, this game is gonna be chaos". You're gonna be in battles against a much wider variety of opposition than COD4. Silenced snipers, Riot shielded shotgunners, commandos who specialize in melee and throwing knives, ACOG'd grenade launchers, dual wielding pistoleros throwing semtex, all with their own set of killstreaks that you're not gonna have a damned clue about until they get broken out. You're gonna need to adapt, to toss out your old strategies and classes and create brand new ones, to fly by the seat of your pants and hope you've got enough skill to come out looking good.

How can you not be excited by that.

There's controlled fun chaos and "Fuck this shit!" chaos. It's sounding like the latter right now.

As you said the dev team must know something we don't if they can introduce such elements and still deem it playable and fun (with no beta testing, no doubt). And all the videos didn't look as chaotic as the elements hint at.
