Honestly, i never thought it was that bad, I thought it sucked in terms of the big picture and the fact that, I thought they werent doing right by Tom Brady. I actually thought Seattle was nuts giving what you got for him. That Doug Gabriel pick up was huge. Jackson has looked better and better. I think Cadwell will find a way to blow a game somewhere down the line. I'd actualy be worried about the recievers inexperience in the playoffs, but you do have Tom Brady so.. Hey, enjoy your 240 yards rushing next week. ![]() |

I think Belicheck should come out and admit the weed was his, and that the police should apologize to him.
They totally would, because it's fucking Bill Belicheck. The judge would say "I'm sorry, but I have to uphold the la----" then Bruschi would appear at the back of the courtroom. |

Why??
The game will be over by midnight.. You could be asleep by 1AM and you could wake up at 8AM.. If you're still hungover from beer after 7 hours of sleep, you are a lightweight.. p.s. Just chug a bottled water for every 3 beers you drink.. |

Well I will probably still drink, but I was planning on getting tanked. Its not so much the hungover thing, I just become like a dead body I don't get what it is. Once I am up I am fine but I sleep threw my alarm all the time when I am shitfaced the night before. Like totally have no reaction to it |

He's 24 years old, isn't he? And he already has a Superbowl ring. He's prone to do young, stupid things. He's younger than I am. Cut him some slack, he will mature.
And to say his career is going the way of Ryan Leaf? Nigga please. He has a ring. That ring does magical things. Look at Brad Johnson, everyone thinks he's a star; why? Because of the ring. Not because the Bucs D was the best ever... oh no. |

Ben Roethlisberger has the same team around him that he had last year for the most part, so there's much, much more to it than that.

I never really thought Roethlisberger was that good. He would throw the ball like 12 times a game and everyone would talk about how incredible he is. He is alright but I think most quarterbacks could have done well with the system that was set up.

Yeah I sort of agree with all of you, I thought he was more of a Trent Dilfer Superbowl winner to tell you the truth. Sametime though I agree that all the shit going on with him this year he is going to have a negative effect on you.
No run game? They still have Willie Parker - I dunno, dude only had 1,200 yards last season. Ben's bad play is hurting the running game, the running game isn't hurting Ben's play. |

I don't think anyone is comparing him to Ryan Leaf, way to go way overboard though.
I just don't think he'll ever be a consistant Pro Bowl player, maybe he'll sneak in once or twice but I personally don't invision him developing into a great QB. |

The Steelers aren't bad for any of the reasons you predicted them to be bad for, so that doesn't really justify anything.

Because he's a meatball? You can't expect intelligent posts from him ever, so we should just ignore it.
Brad Johnson protects the ball, like he did on Monday night, with three picks. Yeah. |

Look at last year's rushing stats compared to the first half of this year. Last year Pittsburgh rushed the ball a total of 549 times for 2,223 yards (good for 3rd in the AFC) with 21 TDs. They averaged 138.9 yards per game and 4 yards per carry. Through 7 games this year they have 204 attempts for 773 yards (good for 9th in the AFC this year, behind Oakland) and 6 TDs. They are averaging 110.4 yards per game and 3.8 per carry. They were 11-5 last year and won the Wild Card and 2-5 so far this year. If their rushing stats continue this way, they won't come close to what they did last year... thus making losing "The Bus" all that more important. |

![]() Because Johnson is a veteran. He has proved that he can win. It's the reason he still has a job in the league. Right now he has a bad Minnesota team in the thick of things for a wild card birth. Roethlisberger had a good year (nothing record breaking) and won the Super Bowl. Winning the Super Bowl does not automatically place you in an elite group and make you a Hall of Famer. It does not grant him a place along side guys like Montana and Elway. A guy like Brady is on his way there, not "Big Ben". Just as winning the Heisman does not guarantee you a long NFL career. |

Yeah, that was the point, he choked in the SuperBowl. I've said this before and I'm gonna say it again, if I could pick one QB that's clutch and will come through in a game that counts like that, it's Tom Brady.

And just to close the Johnson arguement.
In only 9 games last year he was 184/294 for 1,885 with 12 TDs and 4 INTs. Compare that to Roethlisberger's "elite" Super Bowl Champion stats. |

The Steelers still have Willie Parker no? 1,200 yards last year
I guess Bettis was the man at getting 1 yard TD runs last year though, that 386 rushing yards being taken off the team is definetly why the Steelers are playing bad. |

It has nothing to do with how many yards Bettis got last year and it has everything to do with teams having to play the run from two different styles and respecting both at any given moment.
