I looked at the schedule and this is the only week they have 2 monday night games and I have no fucking clue why but I think the Pats are looking ok this year and Maroney is gonna be gaining the yards for us.

You are like ESPN for the past couple of weeks.. They have already decided who will play the National Chapionship, who will go to certain bowl games, etc..

DrA 09-01-2006 05:45 PM

If you people think I'm being a homer, you are right.

DrA 09-01-2006 05:51 PM

I also told myself not to give into the Arizona hype before this offseason, so I'm going to stick with my gut on that one.

I also think that the New York Giants could even make it to the Super Bowl (in fact, I would say that they are the fourth most likely team to do that in the NFC this year). But, there is going to have to be one team that underperforms in that division this year, and my prediction is them, them or Washington or Philadelphia.

I took the pussy route on teams like Oakland and Houston, since predicting their sucktitude compared to other teams in their division is near impossible.

Crippla 09-01-2006 06:00 PM

As good as Miami may be this year, they won't make the Superbowl. I still think the Patriots will win the division. Also, how do you change your avatar to a football team.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 09-01-2006 06:12 PM

Patriots are winning the AFC East

Crippla 09-01-2006 06:32 PM

Yes, they are.

They play the same schedule as the Steelers pretty much so who's to say they won't do it? With Carson the Bengals can beat any team in the league. Without him they'd probably get torched by the 49ers.

Of all of those shitty predictions I made, Miami winning the AFC East should be one you question the least.

Evil Vito 09-02-2006 11:13 AM

<font color=goldenrod>NFC East is easily the best division in football, but I still have to give the nod to the Giants. It's just so close that you almost have to pick the team who won the previous year. Of all the teams, I think they have the least flaws. All 11 offensive starters returning is gonna be huge if you ask me. Gonna be a fun year and September 10th can't get here soon enough.</font>

Patriots are leagues better than Miami, trust me.

This is more about everyone sucking New England's dick for so long than them actually being better than anyone.

Could they win the AFC East? Of course they could. But the fact that anyone could actually say that they might not, undermining the wonderful "genius" of Bill Belichick, is now a taboo in football.

If the Patriots were in, say, New Orleans, people would have stopped caring for them a long time ago.

If New Orleans was a better team than people would care about them more and Bill Belichick is a genius. The Pats are a better team than Miami.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-02-2006 06:35 PM

that would explain why the Pats are 2-2 against Miami the past two seasons wouldn't it

DrA 09-02-2006 06:53 PM

The last thing this forum needs is another pompous New England Patriots fan.

D Mac 09-02-2006 09:35 PM

DrA I wouldn't be surprised if we see TO and Parcells go at it. I bet TO will do something to piss Parcells off and we have them say shit about each other on TV. It seems inevitable.

D Mac 09-02-2006 09:43 PM

Looks like Priest Holmes is done. :(

http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/KC/9624338

The odds of seeing Priest Holmes on the field this season got much longer when the Kansas City Chiefs put the three-time Pro Bowl running back on the "physically unable to perform" list.

Patriots resting starters the last game of last season have nothing to do with that record

I still think the Patriots are better than Miami, the team has definetly got a huge upgrade at the QB position though so we'll see.

LIGHTS OUT!!1!

RP 09-03-2006 05:16 PM

2006 Dolphins= 2004 Seahawks and 2005 Vikings

AFC Championship

Indianapolis vs Chowds

NFC Championship

Packers vs Giants

Superbowl

Colts vs Packers

I'm basically picking the Colts based on the fact that they have to win sometime right? Oh yah and Bob Sanders.

Colts Packers Superbowl would be the best Superbowl ever.

Evil Vito 09-03-2006 06:59 PM

<font color=goldenrod>Some curious decisions by the Giants...carrying 10 O-Linemen and only 2 TEs despite the fact that Wade Fletcher and Darcy Johnson were working their asses off for that #3 TE spot and its pretty much out of balance now (they have 3 backup offensive tackles...FFS, just put someone on the practice squad and use the other spot on another TE, CB, or DT)

-edit-

Damn, just found out the Packers signed Charlie Peprah :(</font>

Yeah, I understand Miami has improved their offense and already has a good defense but I still think Pats are a better team and for the record anyone who is doubting the Pats will suck my cock when the AFC East and probably more.

Hubris.

The Patriots have lived past their shelf life and it's time for another team to step up and take that division.

DrA 09-04-2006 04:54 AM

Also, why is everyone so quick to put Carolina in the Super Bowl?

Yes, they probably will be a good team and be in the mix to be the best NFC team, but I don't see anything that makes them ridiculously better than what they were the last couple of years.

They kinda look like a shell of that Super Bowl team they had three years ago in my opinion.

RP 09-04-2006 04:57 AM

great offense great defense. Makes sense to me.

All reports I've heard say that TO has actually been a good guy to work with in the locker room.

The whole TO/Parcells thing is just going to be one of those things that the media is going to scrutinize and take out of proportion all year long. I'm not saying that nothing will happen, but it's unlikely at this point.

Apparently so does Seattle. Washington. New York Giants. Dallas. Atlanta. Chicago. What makes Carolina so much better than all of these teams?
