Stupid EWR. Had to re-write my show around because Chavo got injured (only a 1 month deal, he'll be back by the next show)

SmackDown! Cyber Week - October 26, 2007

-------

Segment 1: World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio comes out, ready to defend his title against Chavo Guerrero. However, Theodore Long comes out and says that Chavo's been injured and the match has been postponed until next week. However, Rey's a fighting champion so he'll still defend the title against anyone who wants it. Long ate his words, as Val Venis answered the call...

Segment 2: ...Long would trump Val though when it was announced the match was to have a special referee as per WWE fans. Long appointed himself the referee and made sure to keep Val in line as he invariably tried to cheat. Rey got the win and looked toward next week and beyond.

Segment 3: Batista walking toward the ring for his match.

Segment 4: Batista vs. Ric Flair would be a cage match. Back and forth battle, utilizing the cage as a weapon. In a recurring theme in my shows, the ref got knocked out and Flair escaped through the door. Since the official could not announce the decision, Batista left, threw Flair back in and beat him down. He hit the Batista Bomb and escaped with a cheap win. As Batista walked up the ramp, Flair gloated by saying "at least I still have a chance to be number one contender!"

Segment 5: Snippits of interviews with various SmackDown! superstars talking about their chances of winning the number one contender's battle royal.

Segment 6: The WWE fans certainly made an odd choice here, having MVP (heel) and Finlay (face) team up against Matt Hardy (face) and Jamie Noble (heel). The faces and heels remained paired off most of the match...but it was obvious neither team could co-exist. Brawl eventually broke out, order could not be restored. No Contest.

Segment 7: JBL gave a interview/lecture/speech about the importance of seizing the opportunity and win the battle royal.

Segment 8: Undertaker made a chilling promo toward Big Daddy V. Even more chilling was that it was announced that their match would be a Buried Alive bout, not ending until one man was six feet under.

Segment 9: Big Daddy V and The Undertaker. Not much else to be said there. Crap match, but I foresaw an interesting spot in the end with Taker chokeslamming V into the hole and managing to bury V alive, the first time Taker came out victorious in a Buried Alive match.

Segment 10: The 20 superstars made their way into the ring - Finlay, Jamie Noble, Matt Hardy, MVP, Ric Flair, Deuce 'N Domino, The Daltons, The Major Brothers, Matt Striker, Chuck Palumbo, Jimmy Wang Yang, Funaki, Chris Masters, Shannon Moore, Kane, D'Lo Brown, and Val Venis. Theodore Long then came out and instructed the men to get out of the ring, because according to the WWE fans - the match would be a Reverse Battle Royal. The object being to get in the ring over the top rope, after 10 do so it becomes a normal battle royal.

Segment 11: Interesting concept, as everyone started beating the tar out of each other. Deuce managed to be the first one into the ring, and he helped his partner Domino in as well. Matt Hardy got in, as did Kane. In somewhat of a surprise, Jimmy Wang Yang got in. Matt Striker snuck his way in, followed by Finlay. Val Venis fought his way in. Ric Flair got in to WOOOOs from the crowd.

MVP and Jamie Noble tried their best to get in as the final spot, but Hardy and Finaly simply wouldn't allow them to get in. Of all people, HORNSWOGGLE emerged from under the ring, climbed up the turnbuckle unnoticed, and was declared the 10th and final man into the ring.

Yang was the first man bundled out by Venis and Striker. Deuce and Domino picked up Hornswoggle and easily tossed him over. Soon, both men were double-clotheslined out by Finlay. On the other side of the ring, Val Venis was sent packing by Kane. Kane got into a mean streak, also eliminating Finlay and Matt Hardy. Matt Striker tried to negotiate with Flair. The two men shook, but the dirtiest player in the game then poked him in the eyes and chucked him out.

Down to Kane and Flair. The two battled for several minutes with a lot of near finishes. Both men reeled on the ropes when BATISTA came from behind and shoved them both over. Batista wasn't in the match though, and he ruined a good fight. How will this be resolved?

My war with IWC is costing me in public image, so I did what any self-respecting promoter would...

...I raided their roster!

Andrew "Test" Martin and Satoshi Kojima will be debuting shortly, as will a new stable.

The idea is that Ace Steel and Bryan Danielson (The Steel Dragons) have been dominating ROH, and their rivals the Briscoe Brothers are getting sick of it. To help them out, they've enlisted Dawn Marie to help motivate them. Part of her plan is to bring in some backup to soften Steel and Danielson up before the next Dragons/Briscoes title match. Thus, the formation of The Dragonslayers: Dawn Marie, Jay & Mark Briscoe, and...

...did somebody say three minutes?

Ring Of Honor presents something NEW and INNOVATIVE (sorry, I couldn't resist). The Survival of the Fittest tournament!

By order of ROH Commissioner Jimmy Hart, the entire active ROH roster (sans current ROH Champions) has been entered into a five-week tournament to determine new top contenders for all four titles.

For four weeks, a series of one-on-one matches will be contested, culminating in a four-way elimination match the week before Survival of the Fittest is to be presented on pay-per-view.

The winner of that match will receive a World Title match against Ace Steel. The runner-up will receive a Pure Title match against Rocky Romero. The third-place finisher will receive a Lightweight Title match against Mikey Whipwreck. The fourth-place finisher will receive a Tag Teal Title match against The Briscoe Brothers with a partner of their choosing. If the third-place finisher does not qualify for the Lightweight division, provisions will be made.

Never before have FOUR #1 contenders been determined in ONE tournament. Here now, the first-round match-ups.

FIRST-ROUND BYE - Vampiro
Roderick Strong vs. Claudio Castagnoli
KENTA vs. Ekmo
Mike Sanders vs. Johnny Jeter
Jimmy Jacobs vs. Nigel McGuinness
Satoshi Kojima vs. Devon Storm
Brian Lawler vs. Colt Cabana
Bryan Danielson vs. Mikey Mondo
Shocker vs. Jack Evans
CM Punk vs. Chuck Palumbo
Lance Cade vs. Sonny Siaki
Sean Waltman vs. Kimo
Cibernetico vs. Harry Smith
Shark Boy vs. Vito LoGrasso
Austin Aries vs. Ultimo Guerrero
Andrew Martin vs. Alex Wright

MOTHERFUCKER! Rocky Romero just checked into rehab. He'd better be out before the PPV. If he's not... I'll have to do some rejiggering. But, honestly, it was worth it just to say "rejiggering."

Because of Rocky Romero being in rehab, I stripped him of the Pure Title and put it up in the fourway match. The winner would have the option to either become Pure Champion or earn a shot at Ace Steel. Colt Cabana won the match and - having already spent months battling his former partner - decided to take the title instead of the shot at the "big one." Vampiro came in second and got the shot at Steel. Shocker came in third. Austin Aries was the first man eliminated, and chose Roderick Strong as his partner against the Briscoes.

haha Loopy, you love your tournaments

Anyway, I STILL haven't played this since my last post over two months ago. I've been pretty much swamped with college, and then when I have free time...it goes to Fire Pro, Guitar Hero, or Madden.

My break starts next week, hoping I can get back into my EWR game. I'll probably only post PPVs. Still gotta build toward my ginormous Survivor Series card in which the majority of the matches have 10 participants.

I do love tournaments. When I go months without playing, it's an easy way to get back into the game without having to worry about "Hmm, what were my major stories?" "Ah, fuck it, let's just throw everybody into a big tournament!"

Well... yeah.

Maybe I should set up a "Farewell To Tournaments" tournament, with the winner being unable to enter future tournaments unless he can win the Re-Entry tournament wh--

Good God, I need help.

Of course, you'd forget that storyline and just put him in the next one when you haven't played for a while.

True. Only way I'd be able to avoid that is if I did a "Win And You're In" tournament. Everybody who doesn't win gets fired. I'd go out of business fast, but I wouldn't forget who won the tournament. ...

Just booked 3 weeks of shows and now I'm ready for Survivor Series...here's some buildup for the loaded card:

WWE Championship: Randy Orton (C) vs. Triple H vs. John Cena
Basically, Randy Orton is the Corporate champion...with Triple H and Cena both jockeying for position to challenge him. They wrestled to a double pin in a number 1 contender's match, leading to a triple threat. Vince threw every obstacle at them (including forcing them to wrestle a tag team gauntlet against the Corporation members), but they kept overcoming the odds. But on Sunday, it's every man for themselves.

World Heavyweight Championship: Rey Mysterio (C) vs. Chavo Guerrero
When Rey returned from injury, he instantly sought revenge on Chavo. This time, the roles are reversed, with the most prestigious title on Smackdown on the line to boot.

ECW Championship: CM Punk (C) vs. Colt Cabana
John Morrison promised Punk that he would know his next opponent very well...and he wasn't lying. Punk and Cabana have been the best of friends when they were in the Second City Saints. Now, Cabana has sided with the New Breed and has vowed to bring the ECW Title "where it belongs".

WAR GAMES: The Corporation (Carlito, Snitsky, Stevie McMahon, The World's Greatest Tag Team) vs. Jeff Hardy, Mr. Kennedy, Umaga, Paul London, and Brian Kendrick
Week in and week out, Raw superstars have been banding together against the Corporation...including men such as Hardy, Kennedy, and Umaga who were just feuding over Hardy's IC title a couple of months ago. After winning a match, Mr. Kennedy decided that the match would be the return of the War Games (which pissed Vince off to no end). The Corporation may not have legs to stand on if they do not win this matchup.

Raw Survivor Series Elimination Match: Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Sandman, Paul Burchill, the Highlanders vs. William Regal, Dave Taylor, Santino Marella, Lance Cade, and Trevor Murdoch
Sandman selected Austin as a tag team partner for a match against Regal and Taylor...and afterwards a drinking party ensued also involving Burchill and the Highlanders. This disgusted GM Regal, who felt it was a disgrace to Raw. Regal formed a team, and so this match was booked.

SmackDown! Survivor Series Elimination Match: Ric Flair, Kane, Matt Hardy, Finlay, and The Undertaker vs. Batista, MVP, Deuce and Domino, and Jamie Noble
Upset over not being named contender, Batista took the opportunity to ruin the chances of Kane and Flair. Batista formed his team for Survivor Series: a golden team involving the US Champion, Cruiserweight Champion, and Tag Team Champions. Kane and Flair found Finlay and Matt as partners. Later on, a brawl ensued and the Golden Team was outnumbering the opposition, until the lights went out and the Undertaker made a surprise appearance, cleaning house, and declaring himself the final member of Flair's team.

ECW Survivor Series Elimination Match: ECW Originals (Tommy Dreamer, Balls Mahoney, Super Crazy, Nunzio) and Johnny Jeter vs. New Breed (John Morrison, Mike Mizanin, Elijah Burke, Marcus Cor Von, Kenny Dykstra)
Basically all out warfare has broke out here...battle lines clearly drawn. Originally to be an 8-man match, Dykstra decided to join the New Breed. His attempt at recruiting fellow young wrestler Johnny Jeter failed, as Jeter sided with the Originals.

10-Woman Interpromotional Battle Royal for the Women's Championship
Beth Phoenix has been running roughshod through the Raw woman's locker room..perhaps the only way for her to lose the title is in a battle royal environment. Challenging Phoenix will be Mickie James, Candice, Maria, Melina, and Jillian Hall from Raw, Torrie Wilson, Michelle McCool, and Victoria from Smackdown, and Kristal from ECW.

Survivor Series Results:

Pre-Show: Random interpromotional contest. Face team consisted of ECW's Boogeyman, Raw's Cody Rhodes, and Hardcore Holly, Jimmy Wang Yang, and D'Lo Brown from Smackdown. Heel team was Kevin Thorn from ECW, Daivairi from Raw, Matt Striker, Val Venis, and Chris Masters from Smackdown. Faces won.
Order of elimination: 1. Daivairi (by Yang), 2. Yang (by Striker), 3. D'Lo (by Thorn), 4. Masters (by Holly), 5. Venis (by Rhodes), 6. Thorn (by Holly), 7. Striker (by Boogeyman)

Survivors: Hardcore Holly, Cody Rhodes, The Boogeyman

Match 1: ECW Survivor Series Match
Order of elimination: 1. Nunzio (by Miz), 2. Mizanin (by Crazy), 3. Dykstra (by Jeter), 4. Balls (by Cor Von), 5. Crazy (by Burke), 6. Jeter (by Morrison), 7. Morrison (by Dreamer), 8. Cor Von (by Dreamer), 9. Dreamer (by Burke through Cor Von assistance)
Survivor: Elijah Burke

Match 2: WWE Women's Title Battle Royal
In a shocker, Smackdown diva Victoria won the battle royal, dumping out Mickie James and Beth Phoenix simultaneously. What does this mean for the title now that it is held by someone from Smackdown?
-*, 59% Overall

Match 3: Raw Survivor Series Match
Order of Elimination: 1. Taylor (by Highlanders), 2. Robbie (by Santino), 3. Rory (by Regal), 4. Murdoch (by Sandman), 5. Sandman (by DQ...hit Cade with a cane), 6. Cade (by Burchill taking advantage), 7. Regal (by Burchill), 8. Santino (by Austin)
**, 71% Overall
Survivors: Stone Cold Steve Austin and Paul Burchill

Match 4: World Heavyweight Championship
Rey Mysterio successfully retained his title against Chavo Guerrero via 6-1-9.
***3/4, 84% Overall

Match 5: War Games
The Corporation had a 5-on-4 advantage heading into the last entry (Mr. Kennedy). Kennedy entered, but rather than even the odds, he shockingly helped the Corporation make it 6-on-4. Shades of Curt Henning in 1997. Umaga and Londrick were incapacitated and so everyone beat IC Champion Jeff Hardy until he was forced to surrender.
**, 77% Overall

Match 6: ECW Championship
In a match that is a sure candidate for MOTY, CM Punk successfully defended against Colt Cabana. Amazing match. Colt offered his old buddy a hand after, only to attack him. This feud clearly isn't over.
****1/4, 89% Overall

Match 7: SmackDown! Survivor Series Match
Order of Elimination: 1. Noble (by Taker), 2,3. Deuce and Domino (by Kane), 4. Kane (by DnD pulling him out for the countout), 5. Finlay (by MVP), 6. Matt Hardy (by MVP), 7. MVP (by Flair), 8. Batista (by Taker)
Survivors: Ric Flair and The Undertaker
**1/4, 76% Overall

Match 8: WWE Championship
After a high-octane triple threat match, the Corporation felt the need to intervene. Cena, in an uncharacteristic move, took his eye off the ball to fight off the Corporation. Meanwhile, while the ref tried to maintain order, Mr. Kennedy snuck in from out of nowhere to attack Triple H. Orton hit the RKO and retained his title.

Not my best show, but clusterfucks never do well. Really just for my own amusement.

After the show, Candice blasted our promotion. I suspended her ass and she will remain suspended until she performs fellatio on me for the rest of the month.

Also, in an embarrassing note, when reading the results I noted Matt Hardy and Finlay are my tag champs. Must have accidentally made their match against Deuce and Domino on Smackdown a title match

And HOLY SHIT. Colt Cabana is already more over than Punk after being brought up all of 3 weeks ago at an overness of under 60. Now he's at 84, 2 higher than Punk.

Not gonna make it a habit of posting full results, just an update on the biggest storyline I'm running:

Day after Survivor Series, it was Orton and Kennedy vs. Triple H and Cena. Cena shocked the world by turning on Triple H and gladly handing the WWE Title over to Orton. In the span of 24 hours, the Corporation has added Mr. Kennedy and John Cena to their already stacked group...they seem nearly unstoppable...

...until next week when I plan on having Shawn Michaels return. DX will be the Corporations main opposition along with Booker (who returned as a heel on the same show, still with the king gimmick....but he'll be shedding it and going face before long)

I'm on semester break, so here's a week that I just did from my WCW game.
I actually started as a small company, 50% image May 01, 2007, as Muskegon River Wrestling (haha). Anyway, as I rose in PI I changed the company name and eventally just did WCW because I was too lazy to think of a new one. Anyway, It's June 2009 and I'm 100% PI Global. Still haven't bought WWE yet :-(. However, a slump is comming, I'm at 62% of the market. Anyway:: I have three shows, Afterburn, Thunder and Blackout. There is a roster split, with most of the singles matches on Afterburn, Thunder has Tag Team Matches, and Blackout is Women-Only TV Show.

We have received word that Kaz Hayashi, member of the world-class tag team the Yung Dragons with Jimmy Yang, has checked into rehab to help his alcohol addiction.
Many wonder what Hayashi's status within the company is, especially comming off of the recent two-year renewal of his contract.
Some are also questioning where this leaves Jimmy Yang within the company, since his latest push with Hayashi could've meant Tag Team GOld. Is he going to be left behind?
Or will he get a super-push ala Colt Cabana, our current WCW Heavyweight Champion on Thunder, when CM Punk went into rehab for almost 9 months?
Only time will tell where this major event will leave the Yung Dragons.

Just two weeks ago, the stalker was revealed as Trish Stratus! After making a huge debut, and beating Trinity, Gail Kim challenged her in a match, and it was Trinity that cost Trish the Women's Championship.

For months, The Backseat Boys have been trying to pry the Tag Team titles off of the sholders of Juvi Guerrera and Super Crazy. Even after both Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere have defeated Juvi and Crazy in single matches, they cannot topple the team together.
The Hotshots, one of the rising teams in WCW, have been vying for a tag team title shot for a long time, while Jindrak and O'Haire have been powering thier way through match after match every week on Thunder. All of these teams are very talented and work well together.
Will the least experienced team, our champions, stay on top? Or will they finally fall to the pressure of the BSB? Will Jindrak and O'Haire get thier chance? OR will the Hotshots shoot thier way through the ranks and upset the other teams?
WINNERS: JUVI and CRAZY via the Crazy Sault
AFTERMATH: J/O, Hotshots, and BSB continue brawling as Super Crazy and Juvi Guerrera leave

MATCH 4:
Bryan Danielson v Low Ki
Two of the most talented workers in WCW and hardest workers on Afterburn have been fueding recently over who will be the next number one contender for Juanez's WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
In a battle-of-the-best series, over the last two months these workers have been in triple threats, tag team, and singles matches against each other with neither gaining a clear advantage over the other.
Will a winner emerge? Or with this series continue until StarrCade?

MATCH 5:
CM Punk v Rob Conway
A few weeks ago, CM Punk made his huge return in a big way: he helped Colt Cabana, his tag team partner in the Second City Saints, retain his WCW Heavyweight championship.
Since then, Nick Dinsmore, the unfortunate person in the matchup, has been stopped by the SCS week after week in his quest for championship gold. Two weeks ago, the SCS destroyed Psychosis, Nick Dinsmore's partner in a handicap match while Dinsmore was out injured.
The next week, Nick Dinsmore was supposed to fight the SCS on his own. However, he stopped by Randy Savage's office and asked to have a replacement partner. Savage allowed Dinsmore to get whoever he could within time period until his matchup.
Cue Rob Conway, the great tag-team partner of Nick Dinsmore! THe Lords of the Ring returned, making a huge impact by beating the Second City Saints in thier first matchup back together! Since then, Dinsmore, Conway, Punk and Cabana have been fighting to see who is superior.
WINNER: ROB CONWAY via the Iron Fist.

MATCH 6:
S.I.N. (AJ Styles, Chris Stylez, Chris Chetti, Sonjay Dutt) vs Team Hero (Chris Hero, Jerry Lynn, Josh Kinglsy, John Hennigan)
S.I.N. The newest stable to work together on Afterburn have been demolishing the entire roster week after week. The original group, lead by Crow, had AJ Styles and Chris Stylez as well. Through thier domination, they talked Sonjay Dutt and Chris Chetti into joining thier group and dominating the roster.
Since the group expanded, they've controlled nearly all of Afterburn for the past few weeks. But a slow resistance rose; Chris Hero and his friends were determined to not let S.I.N. take over thier show! They challenged S.I.N. to a match at the next PPV, which was changed from Demolition to S.I.N.
WINNERS: S.I.N Via Styles Clash.

Ticket sales are down as well, mostly due to the fall of the market.

Our Top Merchandiser is still Josh Kinglsy, with nearly 25% of sales.

We wish her all the best in her future.

--So...for the next few months I think I'm just going to ride the wave of stars that I've created;
I really don't need any extra people on my roster now, and I don't want to work too hard on building new stars at this time.
The market is at60% now, and I've never played a single game this long, so here's to hoping that I can make it through the low points and then enjoy the high ride again.

Nice cards. I'm about a week away from the Raw XV show...and I'm gonna post the results, I envision it being a big blowout show sorta like in real life. The headlining match will be Corporate members Randy Orton and John Cena against a reunited DX.

I'm also going to do a throwback battle royal, this one will have 20 participants. I'm going to use all the real participants I can (pretty sure Slaughter, IRS, and Skinner are road agents and the Goon retired, but everyone else is in) plus more. The winner will receive a full-time Raw contract.

And in some roster news, I traded Cody Rhodes over to Smackdown with Chuck Palumbo going to Raw. I'm running with the whole Hardcore/Rhodes angle on SD cause I sorely need teams there. Meanwhile on Raw, Palumbo jobbed to King Booker his first week on Raw before turning heel the next week to be knighted as Sir Charles Palumbo. (Although, I still plan on having Book shed the king gimmick)

I've decided to bring back the King of the Ring but its been edited ever so slightly. Obviously the winner gets to be the "King", but I'll go with the idea of when Lesnar won it, that the winner gets a title shot at Summerslam. Furthermore, as there are three brands, there will be a final on each brand, and a triple threat match for the title at the King of the Ring.

The brackets are as follows (so the winner of the first match faces the winner of the second, and so on)

RAW BRACKETS
Carlito vs Jeff Hardy
Paul London vs Marcus Cor Von

Paul Burchill vs Matt Hardy
John Morrison vs Lance Storm

SMACKDOWN BRACKETS
Finlay vs Rey Mysterio
MVP vs CM Punk

TJ Wilson vs Mr.Kennedy
Brian Kendrick vs Edge

ECW BRACKETS
Elijah Burke vs Jimmy Wang Yang
Kenny Dykstra vs Bobby Lashley

Nunzio vs Gregory Helms
Sandman vs Umanga

I envision that after Booker goes face again, he'll meet Palumbo backstage and look at him like as if he was oblivious that he's the reason Palumbo's in that gimmick. From there I may unofficially bring back the Blue Bloods with GM Regal having Palumbo and Taylor do his dirty work.

Anyway, good to see KOTR coming back...I was thinking about possibly bringing it back, though I'm still a good half year away and have only barely figured out my WM main event plans.

I should also point out that I've had Mickie James drop the Womens Title.

Basically, I did a massive build for her to win it at Mania, and with all the build, she's actually managed to become a Main Eventer, so she's got no need to be champion. I've got loads of up and comers coming through, so it makes sense to have the title on a heel so that LuFisto, Rebecca Knox, Daizee Haze and Shantelle Taylor can have shots at the title. So I had Molly win the title on Raw thanks to interference from Lacey.

You actually made KOTR a title? Just wondering cause it says "KOTR gained in image"

Gonna go on a limb and predict Punk uses his KOTR title shot to get himself back on ECW...though Punk vs. RVD would be all kinds of good

I made it a title basically to keep track of whose won it, same as Money in the Bank, because I can have matches for that if need be, and once its been used I can strip the holder of the title and wait til Mania.

Probably gonna do a Mania like build for Summerslam, I've got two months too build some fueds up.

As for Punk....it all fits into my grand scheme of things, so you'll have to wait and see.

I'm in a real tricky position with Teddy Hart.

I really want to give the Hart Foundation a big push, which started with TJ Wilson beating Jamie Noble for the Cruiserweight Title and was gonna give Hart and Smith the belts at Summerslam, but Teddy's fucked up twice now.

Guess its one last chance before a suspension.

Summerslam 2008

WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: ROB VAN DAM (C) vs CM PUNK

Since leaving ECW, CM Punk's career has gone from strength to strength. He won the King of the Ring, he has beaten guys like MVP, Finlay, Edge and Mr.Kennedy, and in recent weeks has shown he has the edge on the World Heavyweight Champion.

RVD has been a dominant champion since winning the gold back in November 2007, he has beaten every challenger who has come his way, but this is a new threat, one out of left field, one that has unstoppable momentum.

Its the Champion vs The King......who will walk out with all the gold?

WWE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TRIPLE THREAT MATCH: SHAWN MICHAELS (C) vs RANDY ORTON vs BROCK LESNAR

Has Shawn Michaels WWE Title ever been under more threat? Since winning the title back at Wrestlemania, HBK has defended his title with spirit, but has not always been unable to come out on top over his opponents. Not least Randy Orton, who has had shots, and has come so close on so many occasions, most recently in the closest of close finishes in a Last Man Standing match. Orton's continued dominance over much of Raw sees him in this match.

But it is a triple threat match, and it includes the biggest challenge for HBK and the Legend Killer yet.....Brock Lesnar. Undefeated since his return to the WWE, he has destroyed all in his path, and has earnt a shot at the gold in the event where he won his first WWE Championship, Lesnar goes into the match as favourite, but the triple threat rules make this a most intriguing contest.

ECW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: JOHNNY JETER (C) vs COLT CABANA

Jeter shocked the wrestling world when he defeated CM Punk to not only win the gold, but send Punk tumbling out of ECW, and he has not looked back since. Consecutive PPV victories over ECW Legends Mick Foley and Tommy Dreamer, in Extreme Rules matches no less, have earnt Jeter the moniker of the "New King of Hardcore", alongside the New Breed, Jeter has been unstoppable.

In Colt Cabana, however, he comes up against a very different foe. Quick, Technically adept and with a great deal of pent up rage, Cabana will be a tricky opponent. Jeter sent his best friend CM Punk out of ECW, so Cabana, alongside Ace Steel will be looking for revenge. Cabana is no push over, and if nothing else, he will make sure he steals the show this Sunday.

INTERPROMOTIONAL GRUDGE MATCH - THE UNDERTAKER vs JOHN CENA

The tension between these two men has been building for months, and culminates in this face off at Summerslam.

Many will argue its the old WWE vs the new, with the legendary Phenom taking on the future hall of famer John Cena.

This all started as a result of Cena's claim that he was the greatest wrestler in the company, and he set out to prove it. An interpromotional match only swelled Cena's ego, and he would come to Smackdown to take out the Undertaker.

The Undertaker wants revenge, Cena wants to cement his legacy..... a match for the ages at Summerslam.

CHRIS JERICHO vs TRIPLE H

Two men with years of hatred behind them will square off at Summerslam, no more words need to be said, the hatred still exists, the desire to be the best still exists, a battle between two of the greats

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP 30 MINUTE IRON MAN MATCH: PAUL LONDON (C) vs JIMMY JACOBS

The impressive Jimmy Jacobs surprised many by taking Paul London to a 30 minute draw, and he has earnt the right to face London again, this time with the stipulation of 30 Minute Iron Man match rules. The first match was one of the best of the year, and these two men are two of the best young wrestlers in the WWE, with the Intercontinental Championship on the line, this could be a classic.

WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP: FINLAY (C) vs AMERICAN DRAGON

The fighting Irish Man has had a thorn in his side the past few weeks, in the shape of the American Dragon Bryan Danielson. The Dragon is a former US Champion and has impressed many in his first year with the WWE, this match will decide who the better man is on the night.

WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - LADDER MATCH: THE WORLD'S GREATEST TAG TEAM (C) vs THE HART FOUNDATION

Teddy Hart and Harry Smith have been extremely impressive on Smackdown, and have narrowly missed out on becoming Tag Champions before, at Summerslam they will get the chance to be like the greats, as they face the World's Greatest Tag Team in a ladder match, so often the catapult for the careers of young wrestlers. Can they add the Tag Titles to TJ Wilson's Cruiserweight Championship and make the Hart Foundation the most dominant group on Smackdown?
