VC had a talk radio show of a husband and wife radio team. One was liberal one was conservative. Mocked them both. Some jokes the red tie got it some jokes the blue tie got it. There were bits mocking italians, gays, jews, women, soccor moms, cops, rappers, country music it didnt matter. We all could laugh at one another. If you say X is off limits what you're really saying is X isnt part of the club. You single them out as a literal other and you make bringing people together impossible.
