For the most part I am choosing to not hate Jericho for Trumpian reasons when he is in AEW TV. I still enjoy him a lot for the most part. But I don't like his tweets or listen to his podcast anymore. I don't listen to any Wrestling podcasts anymore because at this point I have herd all I care to hear about. And also fuck Brandon Cutler he sucks.

You don’t like listening to a surly JR air his grievances he has from over 40 years in the wrestling business? That’s your loss.

And aren’t constant commercials a staple of all the Conrad Thompson podcast family?
One day I was listening STW and my ex girlfriend made a comment about Conrad shilling nonstop, and was getting upset about it, even though she doesn’t listen and has no vested interest at all. It was kinda funny. Sort of became a running joke when it was on. You had to be here. |

While Bruce and Conrad appeal to the masses, I fucking hate Prichard.
JR and Conrad seem to have more honest conversations, rooted in things that actually happened. Thus, it's a better podcast if you want to hear the truth and genuine insights. I guess with Bruce, you can hear how warped things are from a McMahon perspective. Conrad also does a good job of making JR more engaging. On his own, Ross is fucking hopeless. |

I would definitely agree with that assessment.
Anything Bruce says should be taken with a grain of salt for the most part. It really is all about the perspective he presents regarding how Vince and WWE view the wrestling business, what they were thinking at the time, justifying the Red Rooster, shit like that. That said, outside of podcasting Bruce hasn’t done anything or worth in wrestling in 2 decades almost, and plenty of people will debate the fact he ever did. 80% of Conrad’s job is just keeping JR on the rails and from ranting for 12 minutes about how people called him Watts “boy”, or so and so buried so and so because of jealousy. |

Between the Sheets is still far and away my favourite podcast. I usually save that one for last.
I listen to: Between the Sheets (Weekly, between 5-7 hours) Jim Cornette Drive Thru(weekly, around 2-3 hours) Wrestling War Zone where they go over each episode of the Monday Night Wars(Bi-weekly 2-3 hours) Place to be Podcast where they review every televised house show/PPV/SNME starting in 1985. currently finishing 91(bi weekly 2-3 hours) Grilling Jr House of Hardcore Podcast depending on the guest. Stick To Wrestling (Weekly, one hour wrestling history) |

Thanks for sharing. I might need to give Between the Sheets and Place to Be another chance. Never heard of Wrestling War Zone.

The podcasts are very long, but they are time stamped. I always skip the Lucha section and sometimes the Japanese.
This week they are doing Jan.6-12 1986 so i'll probably listen to the whole thing. I also subscribe to their Patreon (If you're a fan of deep dives then their patreon is worth the $5. they just did a 6 part episode on ECW on TNN and the stuff they uncover is amazing like racketeering shit they nobody has ever brought up) |

I HATE HATE HATE when Cornette bitches about AEW and current wrestling in general. I always fast forward through his "Old Man Yells At Cloud" shit. It's why I stopped listening to the Experience. Brian Last has destroyed that show.

Conversely, I love Cornette’s criticisms. They’re spot-on. Find it fresher when he dissects Raw and SmackDown though. Would like him to take a break from AEW, just because I’m so fucking sick of that company getting any attention (selfishly). Don’t care for his nicknames though. Although I did lol when he said Tony Khan looks like a seal peering through a block of ice.

I don't even disagree. I'm just tired of hearing of it week after week, when he's FAR more interesting doing watch-a-longs, answering old questions and shit like that. I know Brian has said that the podcasts get more downloads when they discuss Raw NXT AEW etc so I get it.

He’s cultivated this gimmick where he “shoots” on modern wrestling, thats what his audience expect so he has to deliver it. I doubt he even believes half the shit he says but it pays the bills.

Oh he believes it. I just think at this point it comes off and contrived or forced. It’s starting to feel like he’s getting tired the shtick but it’s bringing in listeners which brings in more money and merchandise sales, followers, drives YouTube’s hits, etc.
There’s no way he wants to sit and watch a product he thinks is terrible. |
