It fucking sucks, there should be no excuse considering it uses Live on the PC as well.

Ah well, there seems to be no average players on the PC. They either completely suck and are probably using keyboards or they're the best players I've ever played against compared to the 360 version who may have waited to get the best version of the game. There just seems to be no inbetween.

Your online record might blow, but you should get better playing all those skilled players at the very least. Def need to get on some cross platform online though for 360 and PC users. We're basically using specialized PCs to do all this.

It's running at about 64%, mainly because Europe got the game officially today and now it feels more like jumping online on 360 with a middle ground of players on top of the low and high guys.

Figured out why there was such a split for me though, it matches people based on your PC performance so I was getting all these A ranked specs, people who have poured some cash into a decent PC so either people who have PC as the primary gaming machine and haven't touched SF4 since vanilla (if at all) and then these guys who clearly have consoles too and have just been waiting for this version.

My fightstick arrived, and I'm starting to get used to it. Already pulling off Ryu's Shoryuken>FADC>Ultra1 with greater ease.

And holy shit does a stick ever make grapplers easier to use. DEFINITELY adding zangief to my rotation.

Does it really make grapplers easier to use? I might have to look into that.

I already got into the top 30 Zangiefs and managed to get a 20+ win streak online against you guys. I wonder if a stick would improve me. I've not played SSFIV since MvC3 came out, though.

Sticks look really awkward for fighting games to me and I've not used one since I was in an arcade when I was about 10, playing Sunset Riders.

They definitely feel awkward at first, as you have to relearn muscle memory, but they are worth it in the long run. Especially for a serious player.

I've been playing around with it for a couple days now, and I'm starting to get the hang of it. Been pulling off stuff with ease that I had lots of trouble with on the controller. Fuck's sake, I went from not even being able to use zangief at all, to being able to hit his ultra on block in a fucking day.

In my opinion, a stick is a must for any serious grappler user.

Arcade Edition might be arriving on the 3DS as well although although Capcom is currently unsure which fighting game they should bring next to the 3DS.

Ono said regardless of the decision, they still have more content planned for SSFIV 3D and wants to listen to requests from the fans on what they should bring next in terms of potential DLC.

I'd assume this means if Arcade Edition doesn't arrive, then the DLC could be those extra characters and a balance patch.

Quick interview from part of a larger interview at EVO with Ono from Capcom with the main stuff being the future of the series is going to be a yearly thing and potential spin-offs or games made for specific audiences are being considered (ex. game for casual fighters, game for tournament people, etc).

2012 update drops Dec. 13th. They released the complete changelog but loooooong story short the games sounds better balanced.

No she didn't, 1,000 is the average health level, same as Ryu, and she's much more difficult to use.

I'm really hoping for a small price drop at some point for me to jump on. I really don't need to be spending a ton of money right now, and I'm definitely getting NFL Blitz, so I'm torn, because the update sounds worthwhile.

v2012 is out. Mostly buffs for all the characters, and some nerfs where warranted. Theoretically should be returned Super SSF4's balance before the AE garbage. Should have us some lobbies.
