dont know how turtle beaches would help that...my x31's never really help. The shotgun on the other hand probably helps...but those are also kinda broken in this game with their crazy range. The melee in general is pretty broke in this game.

I don't know mate, but I can usually hear the MLC guys coming at me quite a distance off.(Also using X31's) I don't mind the range on the shotguns either, as only one shotgun has pretty decent range, and it is a pump action. I feel if there was less lag in this game, that there would be a lot less complaints towards commando.

hearing them is fine and dandy...i can hear them, but when they get that lunge and your pumping bullets into them, its bullshit plain and simple. Melee was never exploited in MW1 the way it is here.
In halo, Melee is a last ditch effort in a close quarters firefight. The two hit kill melee makes it so you dont WIN a firefight with a knife, but it gives you that ability to run up and melee during a reload sequence. When melee'd from behind i can see it being a one hit kill. They need to do away with the heat seeking knifes, and make it so if youre shooting at a guy, a knife lunge is not probable (like the stopping power in Gears of War 2) |

Thermal - There was a sniper (for want of a better word) on top of the house on wasteland, I was laying under the helicopter. I watched the killcam and he shot me in the foot...thats right, the fucking foot.
Counter - Using Coldblooded, wouldnt be so bad if you didnt need the Stopping Power to be even with the other 5-8 people you are trying to shoot. Thermal users need no skill at all, all they have to do is ADS and look for the large white glowing neon blob. Prevents any use of skill whatsoever. Heartbeat Sensors - Oh yes, having an attachment in the game that farther promotes camping in corners is definitely not noobish. Counter - Ninja - Not a bad perk at all, so I dont mind using it, but on my sniper I use steady aim so I tend to draw these pussies. OMALOL - You seem to not understand this, this is 2x noob tunes, switch classes in 3-5 seconds with OMA to the same class and do it again and again and again and again and again and again. Pair this with Danger Close and you have an insanely frustrating match. Counter - Riot Shield + Blast Shield - because thats practical to use all the time right? Commando - I am fine with the melee attack in the game except, it should not work when already being shot at and definitely should not be able to knife someone shooting you from 20 feet away. Counter - Ummm....lag switching...maybe? Danger Close - Most annoying thing ever when used with noob tubes as it FARTHER reduces the need to actually aim. Counter - see OMALOL NONE of the above things promotes skill whatsoever, it just makes it easier for very skillless players to rack up the kills. And this is not noob friendly? The game is well balanced. Just a lot of whiney fucking bastards play games online. The only thing that really bothers me about this game is people basically playing Deathmatch in every other game type, which means I've stopped playing anything but Deathmatch. Also boosters, but it's a good laugh fucking them over.
Also lag, but I just check my connection speed before I play to see if that'll be an issue and ditch out of a game if it's particularly bad. In terms of gameplay, people just act like cunts because there happens to be effective counters to how they play the game. |

I've been whoring out a M21 EBR with extended mags in search and destroy lately, and I can't tell you how many times I've been called a noob, because I don't use a bolt action rifle like the all the other L33T players. Also I find it hilarious when someone bitches about being hard scoped, basically I guess I'm trying to say people are going to bitch no matter what.

Is it a recent development? I swear I haven't seen it until this past weekend (and then I started using it). Also, if there are several MLC users, I just camp blind corners with SitRep Pro. Go 5.1 surround sound. |

Just a point Fallen Angel, on you being shot in the foot with a sniper rifle. True in real life that would not have killed you immediately (indeed it wouldn't normally in the game), but it would have taken your foot, possibly your lower leg, off your body and you'd be pretty useless. The game doesn't have mechanics to deal with that. You might as well object to the fact your player can survive multiple assault rifle gunshot wounds and miraculously heal himself good as new by hiding for a bit. It's a game you bender.
Seems you liked Thermal until someone fucked you over with it. Maybe time to grow up. |

Yeah SitRep Pro is a great counter to MLC users. With that on they should never get within range to knife you. Really I just don't see the problem with knifing. If someone is close enough to lunge at you with their knife, they could have easily blown you away with a shotgun. That lunge isn't unstoppable either, I've dropped quite a few knifers as they where lunging at me. If you don't believe me, try using MLC for your self and see how many times you are put down after you lunge on someone.

This game is many things, but balanced isn't one of them.
Also, just play hardcore if you don't want people to lunge through your bullets. Happens very seldom, but usually people are screwed if they're not ready to shoot you and are trying to knife you. |

And yeah you have to be quite good with MLC to be successful with it. I have a class that uses it but only so I can level up really, I rarely do very well with it.

I don't see things like FA sees them by any means. I don't think it is game-breaking, but I don't think things are balanced. The only thing I think is game-breaking, is the tube. Besides glitches of course, when they surface. There was no real 'testing' to be done on this game, so to say they took the time to balance things would be a bit of a stretch. They pretty much just implemented things based on what they already knew from their other game, and then hoped it would be good. That's why there were so many glitches, and why people exploit certain weapons.
But by balance, I mean that the guns are nowhere near balanced. If they were, SMGs such as the UMP would not be a lighter assault rifle. Some of the assault rifles are completely useless, and it really comes down to everyone using the same 'few' guns. (people use other guns, but there's a reason you don't see those people on the top of the lists at the end of games) Or even using the same gun in every situation. OMA isn't necessarily overpowered on its own, as it replaces your secondary and I feel that is a good enough trade-off, but the way it is used is certainly not how I imagine the developers intended. Some perks are simply better than others, instead of being an alternative. Some of the trade-offs you have to do in order to use one perk over another are frustrating, as the perk you want to use is useful or 'cool' but may not be as good as another. Some perks, are simply useless on the other hand.. can't remember the last time I saw anyone use scrambler (even pro) in a useful situation. Likewise, some of the pro perks are awesome, where-as some of them suck or are far too difficult to get for what they do. (sit-rep pro is awesome for my playstyle, but having to destroy 120 explosives each prestige to get it is absolutely retarded, when people get much better and more useful perks for doing much less) Idk, I don't have many specific complaints outside of tubes and a couple perks, but in general things aren't very balanced. The bars that represent a guns stats, for instance, are inaccurate for the most part when compared to the other guns. Honestly, most of my complaints will probably be different than yours, as I don't play regular and only play hardcore. Regular annoyed me because the weapon imbalance is much greater than in hardcore. How many shots it takes with certain guns, or how much recoil certain guns have when you have to hit them more than once. Deagle for instance, is almost completely useless in regular. In hardcore, it is incredible. Attachments aren't all very useful either. Some are just completely useless and make you wonder why they're there, or why they're placed where they are in the order of unlocks. For instance, FMJ only adds damage to penetration, and not to the gun itself. Most people seem to think FMJ is something it's not. Long story short, before I begin to ramble (too late) - I LIKE the features of the game. Perks are great, the gameplay itself is solid. Movement and aiming is not the problem. That all feels and plays great when you don't have the issue of lag thrown in. But the game is certainly not balanced. There are just several things that don't feel as if they had much thought put into them, and some things that could have been fixed had they bothered to test the game first and see how people played it with what they had. Honestly, I'd be happier with a tube that only had one shot, even if you could still pick up shots with scavenger. Fix the OMA thing. Make it so you don't get XP from taking bullets with a riot shield. (can't tell you how many games I've played where people were shield boosting. Happens several times a week, sometimes several in a day) Balance the requirements for pro-perks based on their usefulness. Do away with the ridiculous lunge on the knife. As someone who is going to school to eventually develop video games, I just tend to be more critical of bad design in games. All the same, I'm very appreciative of good design, and awesome things.. but people tend to be louder about the bad things in a game. The majority of my complaints in this game go away when I'm playing with certain people. Hell, one group I play with regularly have a rule where they don't tube unless the other team is doing it. And we get games all the time against other people who don't tube, and the games go great and with very little complaint. |

I just wanna know what happened between MW1 and MW2 lag wise. Seriously, maybe its a design flaw, maybe its lag...but the M16 and M14 were lethal in MW1, but good luck getting a kill with that 3-shot burst in MW2.
I remember i used to point, shoot one burst, and down they went. Now? I have to fire at least two bursts, usually more, thus turning it into just another automatic weapon. Req is right, you dont see gun diversity in this game. More often than not, this game rewards spray over precision. |

Its effortless and I do just as well with the normal scope, except against Thermal snipers as they can easily spot me before I spot them I get headshot by a normal/acog scope I dont give a shit, but by a thermal and it really pisses me off. Lastly, if this game were anywheres real, a Barrett 50 cal shot (which can go through 4 inches of steel in real life) would not be nullified by a player taking ibuprofen. Scavenger > OMA switching even for noob tubing imo.
Seriously can't play without Scavenger anymore, only time I don't use it is when i'm sniping and use sleight of hand pro instead of it or when I feel like screwing around with MLC(or Ninja in my case)which is almost never now adays. |

Question, is it just me or do you have to have the grenade launcher up and empty for you to walk over a scavenger bag and pick up ammo for it?
I find if I have up my primary or secondary, it doesnt pick up launcher ammo unless I switch to the tube. |

I found launchers and RPGs need to be out and have one loaded to get full ammo again. Which isn't that big of a deal if you've got them pinned down and don't have to worry about close quarters and your teammates keep dieing around you.

Just had a great match with my clanmates, Sniper dropped his first nuke, Firewall had one but didnt because he let Sniper drop his, I was about to get a collateral for mine when the match ended.
Keep in mind, everyone on my team had +1 death because of the Nuke. |
