I think ECW could actually have used Maria more now with SmackDown! getting quite a good shake-up, and not needing the attention tits and ass would bring.

It's not semantics. The fact is, Val Venis would only ever appear in the "middle of the card" when he's being used as enhancment talent.

But he appears in the middle of the card. As I said, my intended meaning was that Venis a two-time Intercontinental Champion, World Tag Team Champion, and someone that wouldn't be used in the main event. Hence, he would make a fine mid-carder. It was a current hypothetical mid-card. Obviously there are still drafts and moves going on.

Hopefully with so much talent leaving ECW, we see some developmental talent move up. they already moved up Matt Sydal... Hopefully we see Colt Cabana show up soon.

Definitely. I would've prefered to have seen him on RAW (since I watch RAW), but I'm happy that he's on one of the "main shows."

Since I only have time to watch one show per week, I'm seriously considering "drafting myself to Smackdown" as a wrestling fan.

Smackdown just got a HELLUVA lot more interesting within the past week IMO.

For me - Kane, Batista, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, and (I can't even remember the other guy) just don't "do it" for me.

Batista and Rey needed to be moved. They have fought everyone on SD.

So far, this has been the best draft they have ever done IMO. They really evened up the rosters (not counting ECW) and they switched the top guys to create fresh match ups.

You can only see combinations of Edge, Undertaker and Batista so many times. Same goes for HHH, HBK, Orton and Cena on RAW. Added one or two new faces makes everything seem fresh.

The other thing is that with the joint PPVs these days, the only guys that really matter money wise are the top guys on each show. So it was clear they needed to shake up the top matches on each show. I think they did that this week.

It's likely at this point. Look at "Evan Bourne." I mean, ECW is going to end up being the place where new guys can go in and get over... They might as well set it up so the midcard is the main event, and the midcard are new guys... Let people like Hardy, go in, and make himself a main eventer, so he's ready when he goes back to Raw/Smackdown, and let guys liek Bourne, Knox, Kofi, etc, build themselves up so they have a following when they move to the midcard of the big shows.

Think how much better off Punk is for his time in ECW, then he would have been if he would have debuted on Raw.
