Also I'm not getting this whole argument about the patches taking too long. As I recall that at least for X-box there was a waiting period where Microsoft had to verify the patch after Infinity Ward had it up and ready to go.

Basically. The reason there's no point in bitching, is because 5 maps are easily worth $15. To refuse to buy it just cause they tacked on a couple extra bucks is nitpicking. You're going to play the game regardless, and depriving yourself of more content that could possibly refresh the game for you, just because they charged a few bucks more than it was worth... that's just dumb.

I would pay for the content much easier if I knew for certain it wouldnt be filled with glitches/wall bugs/etc.

Its not like IW has a great track record with these things.

I will likely eventually get it because one map is a sniper haven which does have my interest along with overgrown which was fun.

I kinda miss ambush though, that map was the shit.

Correct me if I'm wrong because I've played like 2 games of MW2 that wasn't on a dedicated server, but weren't the glitches all over the game and not map specific? As in, new maps won't break that?

FA, you have 3 choices:

1) Continue playing the game that you paid for without the extra maps. I know, I know. Not having the extra maps somehow takes away from the original game. I personally get up in arms with the fishermen when I can't afford the caviar for my salmon.

2) Buy the maps and pray to Allah they work glitch free

3) End it all, knowing that Activision/IW have made this world uninhabitable with their business practices.

I GUESS you could stop playing the game as well, but we know that won't happen now, don't we?

I says before I says again: It's the fucking community. IW can only do so much, and they're responses to issues were 'post-haste' compared to other teams. At some point you need to rally against the assholes ruining your experience. No company wants their game to be shredded.

Yes, I know they should have had a beta. Yes, Activision was arrogant in that regard. But still, cut them some slack. MW2 is still a well put together game. I'm being extra civil this instant, considering my current poison of the genre, but there are degrees.

Why do you assume it's simple? I'm not gonna pretend I know anything about coding a game, but I don't think it's that easy. It's not like there's some line of code that says "make care package=infinite" that they just forgot to take out.

Either you are lucky, dont play the game or didnt notice what was going on because for about 2 weeks straight maybe 1 game out of 20 didnt have people using the care package glitch. M/L/C + Care Package Before the patch for the fix, holding a CP smoke can in your hand made you run approx 2.33x normal speed.

Then I guess I'm the luckiest person to ever play the game, because I didn't notice it. The care package running, yes I saw that. I may have been knifed by it a few times, but certainly not to the point where I was throwing my controller or anything.

Also forgot to mention the mounted gun/One man army/riot shield glitch I encounted it on wasteland and while flanking works its annoying as fuck when your teammates are lemmings. To do the glitch, have the riot shield out, use one man army to change to the class with the riot, grab the mounted gun, when you change classes you are using the mounted gun AND the riot shield making you nigh invincible except from behind. The fact that it's just slightly overpriced is why I don't care. I'd gladly pay $10 for it, so an extra $5, what I might spend on a single drink at a bar, is not a big deal. People are just going crazy because it's turned into "EVIL ACTIVISION RAPING OUR WALLETS". Few seem to care that it will be fun playing these new maps. $15 isn't much to pay for that, to me at least.

Regarding glitches, I understand frustration if you're encountering them constantly. I'm seemingly lucky enough to not have this, and I play the damn thing nearly every day. But castigating the company for taking too long (re-a couple of weeks) to fix them, and berating them that game code isn't absolutely flawless in the first place is asinine. Blame the community of 12 year olds and retards who get off on trying to spoil the game for others. Like Fig said, every game has glitches. The more complicated and ambitious games are, the more you'll see them, because it's impossible to check every single thing you can do in any game. Even if there weren't glitches, people will still find something to bitch about (IE the constant "Gun X/Perk X is so overpowered!!!!11!" that you already see on boards).

I'm not saying glitches aren't annoying, but fuck's sake, acting like the company that made it have somehow completely failed because it's not perfect is extremely stupid.

Crash - framework and walls are already up, you just have to do the wiring and its good to go

Salvage - you have to dig the foundation first.

I guess you are right, it isnt there fault as sad fuckers will always look for a way to have a leg up on everyone else in the game.

The CP glitch was horrible and was around for probably a full month, it wasnt like boosting/MLC - CP/javelindom which was all counterable, this glitch once someone got 3 kills (with hardline) basically meant the match was over, because you couldnt stop it, or couldnt very easily. To spot it you somehow had to ninja your way to the drop location and steal the crates which was anything but easy. This ruined like millions of games because the match ending was decided about 60 seconds in.

So you either back out, take a loss and try again or play and have your k/d screwed royally due to the insane amount of gunners/ac130/choppers and harriers that were overhead.

How you never encountered this is unbelievable, as I and Req have said it was nigh impossible to find a match without it happening.

Hell I ever stated I had scavenger + cold blooded on and shot down 27 air support during the course of a match.

Also the M$ certification is bullshit, it took a fix even longer to get done.

And lastly with XboxLive, we pay whatever a month for about the same that PSN gets in terms of service.

Also not so sure what all the fuss about the addition of two old maps from COD 4 is all about. I remember seeing on a lot of forums how people wanted some maps from COD 4 brought into MW2. I think it was highly fan appreciative of them to add Crash and Overgrown, when they could've of easily just went with the three new maps for 15 bucks.

Nearly $40 for 24 beers?? What are they pint cans of stellar or sumet? A 24 pack of beer is usually around £13 - £15 depending on beer over here. Sometimes they have offers on like 3 crates for £20 which is really good.
