not really a tag team but 4 horsemen was my favorite group of all time. Just pure wrestling ability but also could do some hardcore street fighting.

There's no definitive answer - both have helped, both have hurt
HHH gave rubs to Batista and Orton but also cut Orton down at the legs a few times Same with Cena but replace Orton with the Miz |

Edge and Christian - my fave tag team since i watched wrestling.
Chris Chetti and Nova - Underrated tag team in ECW Danny Doring and Roadkill - Same as above. MCMG - They can produce a lot of great matches even as champions or as underdogs Beer Money - Best TNA tag team since America's Most Wanted...Beer...Money. |

John Cena actually makes rising stars look good in that he aint afraid of taking a beating even if he overcomes the odds in the end. He is a good guy and that rubs off on the newcomers and makes a guy playing an evil heel look even more evil whatever he does.
Triple H, the only guy he helped in recent years was Shamus. Mostly he completely puts new guys down, like he embarassed the spirit squad years ago and prefers to come out and cut silly jokes that are "insider" jokes to make himself look cool while making the newbie look bad. Now I will admit those HHH jokes r usually pretty funny but it kills the credebility of any new star that works a program with him. Shamus is the only one who escaped this curse but thats I guess because he gave HHH bjs backstage. |

1. Edge & Christian - They had everything from mic skills to ring skills.
2. Dudley Boyz - Insane chemistry with almost any team. 3. Hardy Boyz - Too bad Jeff screwed up but when they were young and feuding with the two teams above, nobody could compare! |

What you have said here is completely contradictory to the point you are failing to make. 'He ain't afraid to overcome the odds in the end'. The fact that he does overcome the odds in the end everytime distinguishes the fact that The jobber who's been sent in had any offense or posed a threat at all. Also, your font is fucking gay, change it now to something that dosen't hurt my retina's. Fail to take my advice on this to your own peril. Just ask Ermaximus (the recent winner of a James Steele Poster of the year award) I am always right about these things. |

So, there is this headline on the front page entitled "Backstage Story: ‘Jeff The Drunk’ Arrives At RAW – Tricked"
My first instinct was that it was about Jeff Hardy. Turned out to be some Howard Stern thing. |

In no particular order.
Kings of Wrestling - Hero and Claudio are amazing in singles, and even better together. They also manage to bust out amazing double team moves that are unique and creative, but not overly spotty. World's Greatest Tag Team - Not much to say here. Never did well in singles, but together, they were great. Plus, I loved the superkick/german and the atomic drop/superkick/jacknife pin combos. Los Guerreros - No explanation really needed. |

First of all, the grammar in the thread title is apalling. What the fuck man.
I've talked about Triple H's control over his feuds in depth before - about how he used feuds that "put over" guys like Shelton Benjamin and Eugene to overshadow Chris Benoit's World Title reign, or how he made Goldberg's run in the WWE more about Evolution than about Goldberg, about how he used the racial angle to further his WMXIX storyline with Booker T only to make him look like a fool in the actual match. I still stand by those arguments. Triple H brings up the people who are close to him - it's just politics. Here's a look at the guys Triple H has "put over": - Shawn Michaels: his best friend. Enough said. - Batista: his Evolution buddy, and even though it worked, it's arguable that Batista got the push over other guys who had been there longer and possibly deserved it more. We also got 4 years of shitty Batista matches/promos/storylines out of it. - Chris Benoit: yeah, he jobbed to Benoit like three times, all cleanly. Can't say much about that, except for the fact that during Benoit's World Title reign he was having shitty, poorly booked feuds with La Resistance and Kane. Not exactly main event programs. Meanwhile, Triple H was starring on RAW in feuds against Shelton Benjamin, Eugene and Shawn Michaels. I believe there was at least one instance of a RAW episode where Benoit, the World Champion, didn't show up AT ALL, and Triple H dominated the airtime with the previously stated programs. Triple H/HBK HIAC also main evented Bad Blood 04 over Benoit/Kane - not to say that it wasn't the obvious better match, but that goes back to the booking - why not Benoit/HBK feud instead of HHH/HBK? Simple: because HHH wanted the spotlight. - John Cena: Can't say much about this one. Triple H's losses to Cena really did help to propel him into superstardom... even if Cena was booed out of the building. - Randy Orton: another Evolution buddy, and to be perfectly honest, after Orton won the World Heavyweight title and turned face, the damage that the Triple H/Orton feud did to his career wasn't ever really worth it. It took almost a year and a half, a brand switch and a feud with Undertaker (where Orton actually was made to look good) for Randy to get his steam back. - Sheamus: his work out buddy, and its arguable that John Cena is the one who put Sheamus over the top by jobbing to him for the WWE Title. Yes, Triple H had some very good matches with Sheamus, but again, it's one of his buddies. Can't really think of many more. Now let's look at the guys who he has buried, or whose careers he has hurt: - Mick Foley: Mick jobbed to Triple H like nobodys business when Hunter first got the belt. He made The Game into a bonafide superstar and threat to everyone else, simply by losing in their RR, NWO and WrestleMania 2000 encounters. I don't hold this against HHH though, since it was the beginning of his ME push and the end of Foley's career. Should be mentioned though. - Chris Jericho: the match that never happened put Jerich over huge, no question about that. But at no other time has Jericho been allowed to defeat The Game. Fully Loaded 2000, their HIAC match, and the biggest of all: the atrocity that was the match and storyline going into WrestleMania X-8. Jericho was riding a huge wave off his Undisputed Title win, but what was the storyline about? Triple H vs. Stephanie McMahon and a fucking dog. Terrible. Jericho was made to look like a complete and total bitch. - Goldberg: Yes, Goldberg came in and beat The Rock, but his program with Triple H was a total fiasco. While Goldberg should have rightfully won the Elimination Chamber match and walked away with the World title at Summerslam, Triple H won with the sledgehammer. Yes, Goldberg won a month later at Unforgiven, but then he lost it again to Triple H at the very next PPV. Here's a guy who was built up in WCW as an unstoppable monster, but Triple H seems to have no problem taking him down. Terrible. - Rob Van Dam: Triple H beat his ass on every occasion they stepped into the ring, even when RVD was clearly the most over guy on the roster and deserved the WWF Title, even if only for a month. Instead, RVD got beaten and moved down to much shittier programs, like his tag team run with Kane. - Kane: The Katie Vick storyline. Enough said. Kane is lucky to have ever recovered from that shit. Not only did it hurt Kane's reputation as Katie Vick will always be attached to his name, but he lost both his mask and the world title match on RAW when Triple H beat him clean. Kane also never scored any kind of victory over Triple H during their few PPV bouts. - Shelton Benjamin: HHH gave Shelton some excellent matches on RAW and a possible springboard into bigger and better things - or so it seemed. In reality, Triple H's feud with Shelton was just a way for him to point to someone and say "hey, look, I'm not such a bad guy, look what I did for Shelton!" It was also a way for Triple H to take the spotlight off Benoit for a few weeks on RAW, and put it on himself and Shelton Benjamin. - Randy Orton: See Above. - Benoit & Edge: This was around New Years Revolution in 2005. Triple H was in the midst of a very controlling World Title run, when on an episode of RAW, both Benoit and Edge forced him to tap out at the same time. The belt was held up and it looked like something exciting might happen at New Years Revolution in the Elimination Chamber. A new champion would be crowned! Alas, Triple H won that match too, and Benoit and Edge went back to mid-card mediocrity. - Booker T: The racially charged storyline heading into WrestleMania XIX suggested that Booker T HAD to win the match. How else could they justify Triple H standing in the ring and calling him "boy" and saying "his kind" didn't belong on the same stage as Triple H? But what happened? Triple H escaped the Harlem Hangover, hit the Pedigree and waited at least 30 seconds before covering Booker T for the win. And there was no rematch either. Fucking disgaceful. - The Spirit Squad: How many excellent performers were there in the SS? At least a few, Kenny Dykstra included. But how many times were they given the opportunity to look the least bit competent against The Game and the HBK? Not once. And where are they all now? Nowhere. Perfect opportunity, as Nexus has been for Wade Barrett, to do a really good "gang mentality" storyline and build some new superstars for the future, absolutely wasted so that DX could look like Gods in a bunch of 2-on-5 situations. Sorry, James Steele. This is just how I feel about it. In all fairness to Triple H, I don't think he's been as bad about being THE GUY on RAW in at least 2-3 years. |

The Hardy Boyz, no question about it. They got huge a couple years after I started watching and I followed them along for the entire ride. They were exciting, had a very cool, in, attitude-style look, and Lita was pretty sexy too. I became a huge mark for them after the E&C/Hardyz No Mercy ladder match, even more so after I saw Dudleys/Hardys Tables Match at Royal Rumble 2000, and then both TLC I and TLC II cemented them for me as my favorite tag team of all time. I really enjoyed their return a few years back as they had some absolutely great matches against MNM.
Even better is the fact that they both did very well after the split up (even if not right away). Matt's Mattitude character/storyline is still one of my favorite undercard storylines ever. The Matt Facts were brilliant and he made a great CW champion. His feud with MVP was also amazing. Jeff took awhile to gain ground as a singles competitor, but his match against Undertaker for the Undisputed Title on RAW, his incredible run as IC Champion with matches against Morrison and Umaga, and his World Title run and feuds with Triple H, CM Punk and Undertaker were amazing. Matt vs. Jeff at WrestleMania 25 is also an incredible encounter - I just wish they had been given more time. But that finish with the Twist of Fate through the chair was fucking out of this world. Too bad they've both wandered off into TNA land. |

The Rockers Edge and Christian I feel like I can change my list easily though. The Dudleys (especially from ECW) are right there. Several other teams too. I didn't count super-teams like Two Man Power Trip or The Outsiders. |
