The plan before Reigns getting suspended from the show was him winning the belt but by beating Jacobs, who was champion at the time. This would've set up Jacobs vs. Scabbia in a final blow off to get to see who would get their rightful one-on-one rematch. I'm still on that track but it's just delayed a bit.
