Rather than stripping Los Luchadores, I'm going to replace Hijo as champion. I have an idea of who's going to replace him, but I want to see what this tournament does for this guy's overness first.

Anyway, first round is over, and we're down to the sweet sixteen. With four more victories, one of these men will be #1 contender to Ace Steel's World Title.

Austin Aries vs. Adam Pearce (beat Ricky Reyes in a play-in match to replace Hijo)
KENTA vs. Rocky Romero
Shawn Stasiak vs. Colt Cabana
Bryan Danielson vs. Mark Jindrak
Cibernetico vs. Jimmy Jacobs
Sean Waltman vs. Johnny Jeter
Mike Sanders vs. Shocker
Alex Wright vs. Vampiro

Both Briscoe Brothers as well as Devon Storm and Mikey Whipwreck were all eliminated because they kept interfering in each other's matches. After getting fed up with having four tournament matches screwed up, Jimmy Hart announced that the two teams would face each other at The Final Battle with the winning team becoming #1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles at Unscripted in January.
