The whole contents just seem too close to what a whole lot of fanboys have been wishing for (return of the Drag and Skorp, new perks) for me to believe it's true. On top of that the one thermal perk seems really strange. Plus that's a lot of DLC for one pack.

How else are you supposed to get a ton of kills? Deathmatch? 7500 point cap makes it a little difficult.

64 and 4 is a somewhat impressive score for people who don't play this game competitively/all the time. Yeah, there are better players out there, who do it consistently.. but why shouldn't he be happy about getting a score like that? I would be thrilled to go 64 and 4. My highest streak at the moment is 29, in which I got a nuke.

Also, it may or may not have had much to do with the other team. They may or may not have been bad. But the fact that it appears several others on his team did good also, helps bigtime. When the rest of your team are killing machines, it makes you that much better and able to get higher killstreaks.

Well, we won, which is what matters. Also, in that game, by no means was anyone camping. We had guys flanking us just as much as we were. It wasnt one of those 'sit back and let people come into the sight' games....it was ground war, and there was alot going on.

I would say that k/d IS impressive, no matter what mode youre playing on.

To add to this:

It was on Highrise as previously stated, I was sniping and using claymores as much as possible and as you all know, when enemies go through the passage-way below the surface I kind of cant shoot them and have to watch my back all the time to make sure a shothgun isnt pointed at it.

There were several times I was noob-tubed/RPGd and I had to hit the ground to recover so it wasnt like I had an incredibly easy time doing it.

It also helped loads when your teammates arent fucktards, as Alvarado held down the fort while I ran to the back of the tower to drop my killstreaks out of harms way.

Okay, so if I were to get this now, would I be fucked in the learning curve or the leveling system? Would I have enough time to justify the purchase at this point in the release to MW3 (if it's even coming anytime soon)? Keep in mind I've played some shooters extensively but not anything modern outside of L4D2.

lol the leveling system does not matter at all. literally AT ALL.

Considering all weapons/perks are reset every prestige, there are plenty of people on the same page as you all the time.

There's really not much of a learning curve.. it's a shooter with a few extras. You either 'get it', or you don't. Some people are just better at it than others.

The only real learning curve is how fast you learn the maps really, once you know the hotspots and high traffic areas it gets really easy.

Robert Bowling was on a podcast tonight confirming a bunch of stuff with the DLC. 3 new maps called Bailout, Salvage, and Storm, along with Crash and Overgrown returning. 1200 MSP. Crash and Overgrown will be tweaked for MW2 features, and there will be a patch released at the same time as the DLC. Unsurprisingly, the perks/weapons stuff was BS.

Listening to the podcast, sounds like Bailout is gonna be more sniper friendly, while Salvage will be more of a Scrapyard-esque firefight. Bowling specifically said that camping will be a tough proposition on Salvage. Sounds like the playlist updates will be more inserting maps and new versions of current playlists (Hardcore Mosh Pit) than flat out new modes, so I wouldn't be expecting Global Thermonuclear War quite yet.
