Resident Evil 8 Village
Looking pretty good. Kinda dissapointed that they are going back to the Resi 7 formula and first person, but still looks like survival horror and 7 was pretty good. Really hoped they would do another classic style RE looking at the good sales of the 2 and 3 remakes. As a huge RE fan, this would've been the game to make me jump into next gen consoles, but since first person controls terrible on a gamepad, I'll wait for the Steam version. Anybody pumped for this game? |

I really enjoyed 7 having not played since the original RE3, so I’m pretty pumped for this.

The 2 and 3 remakes are my favorite games of this generation, so I was really hoping for a new game in that playstyle. They sold really well too, so I don't know why Capcom decided to go back to 7's formula. I guess they are burned out on the Umbrella storyline/previous characters like Leon and Jill and want to keep going with something new (Ethan).

I think you guys got it right, 8 was probably already in development when they did the two remakes. I really enjoyed 7, just finished it last night, but I still prefer the atmosphere and playstyle of the classic formula.
Hoping that when they remake 4, they turn it more into survival horror and reimagine it rather than just remake it. |

Maybe 8 was in production before the remakes did so well?
