Too bad that apology is basically false considering other places and the community itself managed to dig up a ton of times he's gone on the record or shared his opinions and each time it was what he really felt than being in the "heat of the moment."
Supposedly even Capcom knew of his past record involving stuff like this and still had him on the show due to his status in the competitive fighting community which is why Capcom also is getting criticized badly for the decision. They also waited until Day 2 to actually get involved and apologize while also considering kicking out the female contestant because she quit a match involving Bakhtanians.
