Motorola wants a ban or temporary stop on all Xbox 360 hardware sales after it filed a complaint to the ITC dealing with Microsoft potentially violating several patents of Motorola.

This move appears to be a counter from earlier in the year when Microsoft sent a complaint about Motorola charging unfair amount for royalties for their parts.

The US International Trade Commission could issue a temporary restraint on sales similar to when Nintendo was under investigation involving the Classic Controller. At the time, Nintendo stopped producing the controller and when the lawsuit was tossed out, resumed production.

US ITC won't announce its ruling and any order to halt production of Xbox 360s until early 2011.
