Live from SD, we have 3 huge matches tonight. Chris Jericho takes on Lance Storm, Chris Benoit will challenge Eddie Guerrero in a cage match for the US title, and The Rock and John Cena will face AJ Styles in a handicap match.
Eddie Guerrero is backstage. He always delivers the promo goodness. He wanted to rip into Chris Benoit. Not literally, of course. That would just be nasty. Instead, this was a good way to build up to an eventual match.

Bubba Ray Dudley vs Kane.
Match Background: Brothers Of Destruction and Dudley Boyz have been feuding recently. Neither team holds an in-ring victory since the feud started.
The Match: Bubba Ray Dudley hits some punches. How generic. Kane counters a sleeper with a jaw breaker and is able to get free! Trying to channel the spirit of Misawa, Kane ends up chanelling Lex Luger instead and nails a running forearm to the face, minus the steel plate, of course. The referee bumps after catching a wild right hand and is down. Powerbomb on Bubba. Hooks the leg, but the referee is still out! Bubba blocks the suplex attempt and is able to hit the suplex instead! Bubba slams Kane down and motions to the crowd. Spinebuster by Bubba Ray Dudley. Hooks the leg for a two count. Bubba Ray Dudley scores with a standing spinebuster. Hooks the leg! ONE...TWO...NO! Bubba goes for a splash but Kane puts the knees up. Full nelson slam on Bubba. Hooks the leg! ONE...TWO...NO! Bubba flips out of a Kane bodyslam attempt. Shelton Benjamin comes running down the aisle and into the ring! Kane turns around. Shelton Benjamin spins Kane around. Shelton Benjamin hits the Super Kick! Shelton leaves the ring, the damage done! Cover gets three for Bubba Ray Dudley, Kane got pinned. Bubba Ray Dudley climbs each turnbuckle in turn, working the crowd as he celebrates his victory

Chuck Palumbo is in the ring. Out from the crowd comes Chris Jericho, who grabs a chair from ringside as he hits the ring. Palumbo turns, and gets floored by a brutal chair shot. Chris Jericho floors Chuck Palumbo. Lion Sault! Boom! Chris Jericho raises the chair and drives it side-first into the throat of Palumbo, causing him to roll around in agony. The chair gets put around the head of Chuck Palumbo, who then gets driven face-first into the mat, crushing his wind pipe against the steel. Paramedics come running out to help Chuck Palumbo as Chris Jericho exits via the crowd.

AJ Styles vs The Rock and John Cena.
Match Background: This will be a 2 on 1 handicap bout.
The Match: The Rock hits some punches. How generic. BIG clothesline on Styles. Cena \ Rock whip Styles into the corner. John Cena whips The Rock in for a hard clothesline to follow-up. There's a two count on the pin. Death valley driver by The Rock! No one executes that move properly anymore. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! Rock \ Cena hook up Styles, then hit a double suplex. Rock backdrops AJ Styles out of a piledriver attempt. That took a lot out of The Rock. Styles crushes Cena with a running senton. Hooks the leg! ONE...TWO...NO! The Rock is able to duck a clothesline attempt and connect with a counter clothesline. The Rock with a spinning neckbreaker on Styles. The Rock scoops up Styles. Cena bounces off the ropes and hits a flying Hart Attack clothesline. There's a two count on the pin. Rock walks into a drop toe hold. DDT from the top rope by AJ Styles. That looked KILLER. Hooks the leg for a two count. The Rock fights out of a grapple. Full nelson slam on Styles. Spear by John Cena. AJ Styles hooks up a suplex, but Rock flips out and lands on his feet, and quickly grabs the tights to score with a school boy pin! 1...2..3! The referee somehow missed the blatant cheating!

Matt Hardy Version 1.0 is backstage. He was on Hype Central (HYPE CENTRAL!!!) tonight, this time for a match with Rey Mysterio. Can you believe that I just marked out for Lance Wright? How many people even remember that guy?

Match Background: This match is for the Heat World Title title. Matt Hardy Version 1.0 has been Heat World Title champion since 10 October 2010.
The Match: Rey Mysterio strikes Matt. Spinning back kick from Rey Mysterio. Flying elbow from Rey Mysterio connects. Rey Mysterio hits a rolling kick on Matt. Konnan has ruined any chance for me ever enjoying this maneuver again with his shitty execution of it. Matt Hardy Version 1.0 reverses a hip toss. Matt uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! Spinning bulldog in the corner and Rey is down! There's a two count on the pin. Rey Mysterio fights out of a grapple. Rey crushes Matt with a running senton. There's a two count on the pin. Tiger suplex on Matt. No Misawa references from me, I swear. Oh, Bloody Hell! Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! Rey Mysterio misses a clothesline. Rey walks into a high dropkick from Matt Hardy Version 1.0, almost losing several teeth in the process. Rey Mysterio elbows Matt Hardy Version 1.0 in the face to break a hammerlock. Matt takes a flying neckbreaker from Rey Mysterio. Rey Mysterio moves in for the kill. Here it comes - West Coast Hop. 1....2...3, it's finished. Booker T comes running down the aisle with a chair and into the ring! Rey turns...and is dropped by a vicious chair shot! Booker T has left Rey down and bloodied.

Match Background: Chris Jericho is the reigning World Heavyweight champion, and has been since 07 October 2010.
The Match: Chris Jericho connects with rights and lefts and Lance Storm is down! Lance Storm takes a butterfly suplex from Jericho. Hooks the leg for a two count. Lance Storm is able to duck a clothesline attempt and connect with a counter clothesline. Flying elbow from Lance Storm connects. Jericho walks into a high dropkick from Lance Storm, almost losing several teeth in the process. Storm hits a dropkick on Chris Jericho and gets right back up. Lance Storm misses a clothesline. SUPER frankensteiner on Storm, who hit hard and is loopy as a result. Chris Jericho floors Lance Storm. Lion Sault!!! 1....2....3!! It's all over. Chris Jericho slides to the outside and grabs a chair, then climbs back into the ring. Storm turns around...and gets planted with a huge chair shot to the head! He is left down and out on the canvas.

Match Background: This will be a cage bout. This match is for the WWE United States title. Eddie Guerrero has been WWE United States champion since 07 October 2010.
The Match: Chris Benoit drives Eddie into the cage side. Doctor Bomb connects and Eddie landed hard. Eddie Guerrero pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Spinning back kick from Eddie Guerrero. Spin kick by Eddie Guerrero to the face sends the opponent FLYING across the ring. Eddie Guerrero throws Benoit into the cage. Implant DDT by Eddie Guerrero! I will always and forever mark out for that move. Eddie Guerrero and Benoit climb the cage....but both end up crashing back to the canvas after a struggle! Benoit counters a sleeper with a jaw breaker and is able to get free! Benoit hits a piledriver on Eddie Guerrero. That used to end matches, you know. High Angle DDT by Chris Benoit just SPIKES Eddie Guerrero down! Chris Benoit with a spinning neckbreaker on Eddie. Chris Benoit launches Eddie into the cage wall. Chris Benoit goes to leave the cage by the door...but Chris Jericho appears at ringside and slams the door on his head! Eddie takes the opportunity, and climbs out the door for the win! Eddie and Jericho put the boots to Chris Benoit, stomping away on him.
