Meltzer has no WWE sources. It makes Smeat cry, but it’s true. He spent years ragging on them, disrespecting the efforts of the talent and all that. Then something shiny comes along started by his buddies and he starts disproportionately valuing it.

Beyond that, WWE is a publicly traded company with professionals with no regard for the dirt sheets beyond using them as a tool at the top. CM Punk’s negotiations with WWE, for example, would have involved a very small room of people — NONE of whom would be talking to a fake a journalist.
