They talk about Backlund not having the promo ability at that time, and I always feel like I have to bring up his interactions with Flair and Race, both of whom made him really look like a blubbering idiot. Oddly enough, it reminded me of the contract signing between Shida and Thunder Rosa, how one of them blew the other out of the water with their personality. The other one wore a kimono, and that's what gets the EVP in charge of that division a boner.
