Gave it a 4 mostly because the real rating would have been more like a 3.5 if half a points were allowed and 3 being too low for a game of its quality.
The music and overall gameplay were great but never bothered to complete it because of some of the gameplay design choices made. Think the most I ever got was around halfway.
Castlevania 2 might be worse with it but was never that fond of the jumping system and the way hits knocked you back a bit too much in the early Castlevania games. Going from the smooth jumping system in Mario games to the one used in the NES Castlevania series was rough.
