Very interesting night tonight on Sunday Night Heat. The Undertaker is in the house to take on D-von Dudley and Rey Mysterio will defend his newly won Heat World title.


Booker T is backstage. He was out there to hype a match against Hurricane. Good way to get the fans interested in what is coming up.

Matt Hardy Version 1.0 vs Funaki.

Match Background: None.

The Match: Second rope flying axe handle, Matt goes down. One day, Funaki might even consider coming off the top with that. You know...for more impact and stuff. Matt takes a NICE hurrancarana from Funaki. Hooks the leg for a two count. Funaki misses a big legdrop after stalling too long. Funaki walks into a high dropkick from Matt Hardy Version 1.0, almost losing several teeth in the process. Matt uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! There's a two count on the pin. Matt Hardy Version 1.0 scores with a big spinebuster. Pin, but Funaki is out just before the three count. Implant DDT by Matt Hardy Version 1.0! I will always and forever mark out for that move. Funaki flips out of a Matt Hardy Version 1.0 bodyslam attempt. Flying cross body off the top rope! Hooks the leg for a two count. Springboard dropkick from Funaki. Nicely done. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! Matt takes a flying neckbreaker from Funaki. Funaki strikes Matt. Matt counters a backdrop attempt with a kick to the face and hit a clothesline! Implant DDT by Matt Hardy Version 1.0! I will always and forever mark out for that move. Spear! Funaki is down! Funaki can barely stand. Twist Of Fate! 1....2....3. Booker T has a chair. Matt turns and takes a brutal shot to the head. Funaki is next to take a hard shot. Booker has demolished everyone!

Undertaker vs D-Von Dudley.

Match Background: Brothers Of Destruction and Dudley Boyz have been feuding recently. Dudley Boyz hold the edge, as they have yet to be beaten in the ring by Brothers Of Destruction during the feud.

The Match: Wack kick from Undertaker. D-Von Dudley is able to duck a clothesline attempt and connect with a counter clothesline. D-Von strikes away at Undertaker, not doing much damage at all. Undertaker charges, D-Von moves, and the referee is knocked silly! D-Von Dudley scores with a poor standing spinebuster. Pinfall attempt, but the ref is out and can't count to three! D-Von charges into the corner but EATS BOOT. Running clothesline from Undertaker was actually MIGHTY sloppy. Undertaker hits a sloppy double axe handle off the top. Hooks the leg for a two count. Side suplex from Undertaker. Hooks the leg! ONE...TWO...NO! D-Von blocks a kick from Undertaker. D-Von Dudley DDTs Undertaker, but it just looked terrible. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! Undertaker fights out of a grapple. D-Von Dudley can barely stand. Last Ride! 1....2....3. Charlie Haas has a chair. Undertaker turns and takes a brutal shot to the head. D-Von is next to take a hard shot. Haas has demolished everyone!

Rene Dupree is backstage. He wanted to rip into William Regal. Not literally, of course. That would just be nasty. Instead, this was a good way to build up to an eventual match.

Rene Dupree vs William Regal.

Match Background: None.

The Match: Big forearm by William Regal makes me want to go to the mirror and check MY teeth. Dupree takes a back suplex. Rene Dupree takes a butterfly suplex from Regal. Dupree tastes a high angle back suplex. If Spike Lee can sue TNN over the Spike TV nonsense, then Kurt Angle should be able to sue SOMEONE for that. Dupree flips out of a William Regal bodyslam attempt. William Regal charges into the corner, but EATS BOOT and staggers backward. Full nelson slam on Regal. Covers for a quick two count. Regal powers out of a headlock. Dupree walks into a jaw breaker. Covers for a quick two count. Wicked suplex out of the corner from William Regal, is executed so well, it hurt MY back. Pin, but Dupree is out just before the three count. Regal walks into a drop toe hold. Regal takes a headbutt from Rene Dupree. Regal backdrops Rene Dupree out of a piledriver attempt. That took a lot out of William Regal. Hard impact Russian Leg Sweep by Regal. According to some other reviewers around here, 'legsweep' is one word. William Regal moves in for the kill. Here it comes - Power Of The Punch. 1....2...3, it's finished.

Eddie Guerrero vs Abyss.

Match Background: This match is for the WWE United States title. Eddie Guerrero has been WWE United States champion since 07 October 2010.

The Match: Trying to channel the spirit of Misawa, Abyss ends up chanelling Lex Luger instead and nails a running forearm to the face, minus the steel plate, of course. Eddie Guerrero is able to duck a clothesline attempt and connect with a counter clothesline. Super kick by Eddie Guerrero. DDT from the top rope by Eddie Guerrero. That looked KILLER. Eddie Guerrero floors Abyss...and climbs the turnbuckles. Frog Splash!!! 1....2....3!! It's all over. Chris Benoit comes running down the aisle, and gets into the ring! Chris Benoit drops Eddie to the canvas. Chris Benoit quickly locks on the Crippler Crossface! Eddie Guerrero has been left down on the canvas.

Rey Mysterio vs John Cena.

Match Background: This match is for the Heat World Title title. Rey Mysterio has been Heat World Title champion since 14 October 2010.

The Match: Cena walks into a high dropkick from Rey Mysterio, almost losing several teeth in the process. Standing leg lariat by Rey Mysterio on Cena. Spin kick by Rey Mysterio to the face sends the opponent FLYING across the ring. Rey uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! Rey Mysterio misses a big legdrop after stalling too long. BIG clothesline on Rey. Spear by John Cena. There's a two count on the pin. Rey Mysterio reverses a hip toss. Rey crushes Cena with a running senton. Hooks the leg for a two count. Diamond Dust from Rey Mysterio and Cena is out! Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! Cena blocks a kick from Rey Mysterio. Rey gets slammed down hard and winces in pain. Rey counters a sleeper with a jaw breaker and is able to get free! THERE IT IS! A legdrop to the BACK OF THE HEAD! I swear, that makes any match just a little bit better. I don't mind telling you that every time I see it, that's for sure. AJ Styles comes running down the aisle and into the ring! John Cena turns around. AJ Styles spins Cena around. AJ Styles hits the Styles Clash! Styles leaves the ring, the damage done! ONE...TWO...THREE. Rey defeats Cena. AJ Styles has a chair. John Cena stands up...and gets floored by a shot to the head. Another two shots smack down across his back, leaving him unmoving on the canvas. Styles sets the chair up, then picks up John Cena. He gets whipped into the ropes...and then drop toe holded, sending him face first into the chair! AJ Styles has left Cena down and bloodied in the ring after a brutal assault!
