WWE Superstars - June 24, 2010
Uncommon

Two SmackDown superstars avenge losses from last week, the Raw divas are in action, and a certain Raw superstar can’t seem to keep his mouth shut on this week’s WWE Superstars.

William Regal def. Santino Marella
The always entertaining Santino Marella was sure to make some inflammatory remarks towards the veteran William Regal, and that certainly didn’t help his cause. Regal pulverized Marella with a series of stiff punches and knee strikes before making him tap out wildly to the Regal Stretch in short order.

Natalya & The Bella Twins def. Maryse, Alicia Fox, and Jillian Hall
The second-generation diva Natalya continues to make her case for a shot at the Divas Title with another victory. Although her partners helped out, Natalya worked the bulk of the match and ultimately forced Alicia Fox to tap out to a Sharpshooter. Maryse will certainly have to face Natalya sooner rather than later.

Shad Gaspard def. Heath Slater
“The One Man Rock Band” Heath Slater made his debut as a member of the SmackDown roster, having freshly signed after the completion of NXT Season 1. However, his debut didn’t quite go as planned. Fueled by anger from his loss to MVP on last week’s SmackDown, Shad was able to ward off a good debut by Slater and pick up the victory after a GTO.

Cody Rhodes def. Matt Hardy
Much like Shad, “The Uncommon Man” was eager to wash away the stain of defeat from SmackDown last week. Matt Hardy presented a very formidable challenge, and the two engaged in one of the best matches we’ve seen on WWE Superstars in quite some time. Hardy set up for a Twist of Fate but Rhodes was able to fight out of it and get Hardy in place for the Cross Rhodes. He hit the maneuver and picked up the win. Things are looking up for Cody Rhodes.

I mean it when I say that Hardy/Rhodes was a great match. It was like 89% Match Quality and a **** rating. Love it when matches surprise me like that.
