This is true. I went to a Smackdown house show back in 2002. There was a Val Venus and Chris Jericho match that ended up having the same finish a few weeks later on TV a King of The Ring Tournament matchup and basically Hurricane v Jamie Noble played out the same except They changed the ending to Noble winning at the PPV.
