When Seth turned on them they ripped Roman's vest off for the beatdown, and he was pretty huge then, and essentially that is when the Shield ended. Seth and Dean got new gear and music. I think Roman kept all the Shield stuff like Vito said, because that's what Vince wanted, not cause Roman wasn't jacked in 2014.
