It was ludicrous because no racist would save their one moment of truth and honesty to say "you yellow bastard".
That is hack writing at best and deliberate placement at worst.
"Oh I'm too multicultural to know what a racist might call an Oriental person...just have her call the guy yellow. That will do."
I expect the real deal and everybody knows a real racist would go Gook on that one. Yellow isn't even an insult in the mind of a racist.
