Sega's more riskier games haven't been advertised well this generation which makes Sega upset and they start to blame someone (ex. Wii for Madworld). Then again, Sega bought a lot of "niche" quality developers so its not a surprise why they don't have any mega sales.

For the PS3 question, that is more of Sony's fault since they didn't design PSN architecture as well as Xbox Live and while MS mostly takes care of everything on Live, Sony expects developers to handle stuff on PSN. They also charge by the bandwidth for almost anything put on PSN as well.
Over here, Enslaved was advertised pretty heavy on TV and K&L2 was on buses, yet K&L2 was at the top of the charts for a good few weeks.
