Kang being set-up as the next big bad of the MCU after Thanos is a good choice. Very different type of villain from big purple but very dangerous.

I don't know if Kang is taking over the Thanos role. He's slated to be the villain for Ant man 3. I think Dr. Doom is the way to go for the next multi phase threat. Though I could see Kang/Immortus/Rama Tut/ Iron Lad playing a part in future events.
