Wouldn't be a problem in terms of money but NWA has less value than Impact if a buyout were to happen. Plus Impact's roster fits better for AEW's needs than NWA's.

Right now, they are better off with the current friendly partnership and one-way talent exchange since it helps both companies a lot during this pandemic.

If AEW were to ever launch their own Network-like service and/or join HBO Max, then NWA becomes just as valuable in terms of content and whatever tape library they still have left after WWE raided them.
