The show kicks off with the culmination of the ongoing World's Greatest Tag Team/Ministry feud. Undertaker and Big Show are defending their titles against Haas and Benjamin in a Hardcore Match!

Hardcore Match for the WWE Tag Team Titles - World's Greatest Tag Team vs. Undertaker and Show (c)

Undertaker uses a big bag of popcorn to floor Shelton. Big Show hits a big clothesline, not of the 'from Hell' variety. Whip into an upright table by Undertaker. Charlie Haas fights out of a grapple. Hard impact russian legsweep by Haas. If you're going to get impact, 'hard' is probably a good way to go. World's Greatest Tag Team whip Undertaker into the corner. Charlie Haas whips Shelton Benjamin in for a hard clothesline to follow-up. Show takes a quick lariat. Shelton Benjamin scoop slams Show onto and through a table. Haas only gets knees on a splash. Big Show hits a sloppy bulldog off the ropes. Big clothesline from Undertaker. Charlie Haas is all alone...Double Choke Slam!! 1....2....3! *** rating for a good bout.

Los Guerreros and the duo of Billy Kidman and Tajiri have been locked in a war for the last several weeks, and tonight a pair of singles matches will continue the bad blood. Up first, it's Chavo versus Kidman!

Chavo Guerrero vs. Billy Kidman

Dropkick connects, Kidman goes down. Chavo Guerrero misses a clothesline. Chavo walks into a high dropkick from Billy Kidman. Chavo Guerrero charges, Kidman moves, and the referee is conveniently placed to get knocked out. Vicious kick to the teeth from Billy Kidman. Hooks the leg, but the referee is still out. Chavo reverses a Billy Kidman hammerlock. Chavo uses a basement dropkick to the knee. Flying cross body off the top rope! I'll give a 0.8 on the Steamboat scale for that effort. There's a two count on the pin. Back heel kick off the second rope, Kidman goes down. Hooks the leg for a close fall. Billy Kidman pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Kidman crushes Chavo with a running senton. Pin : 1 - 2 - 2.9999999. Chavo blocks the suplex attempt. Chavo Guerrero moves in for the kill. Here it comes - Brainbuster. 1....2...3, it's finished. This one gets a ***1\4 rating, it was a good bout.

Since just after WrestleMania, Sean O'Haire has made Rob Van Dam's life a living hell. On several occasions, RVD has come within a hair's breadth of winning O'Haire's United States Title, only to come up just short. Tonight, he goes for it one more time.

United States Title Match - Rob Van Dam vs. Sean O'Haire (c)

Sean O'Haire fires off some right and left hands. RVD kicks Sean O'Haire in the gut to reverse the momentum. O'Haire walks into a high dropkick from Rob Van Dam. RVD whips O'Haire into the turnbuckles...and predictably, the referee gets sandwiched. Slingshot senton by RVD, crushing the chest of O'Haire. Pinfall attempt, but the ref is conveniently laid out. O'Haire blocks the suplex attempt. Running knee lift from Sean O'Haire. Massive backbreaker, RVD got planted. Early reports indicate that the back was *not* actually broken, so the move's name should actually be backhurter. Cover for a two count. Death valley driver by Sean O'Haire, Rob Van Dam got planted. Pin : 1 - 2 - 2.9999999. Rob Van Dam takes the advantage after a i-block-your-punch-you-don't-block-mine routine. Spinning bulldog in the corner, O'Haire is down. Pin, but O'Haire is out just before the three count. O'Haire counters a backdrop attempt with a kick to the face. O'Haire whips RVD into the turnbuckles...and predictably, the referee gets sandwiched. Rob Van Dam floors O'Haire, then signals for the Five Star Frog Splash. Meanwhile, Sean O'Haire has something in his hands. RVD comes over...and gets nailed with a set of brass knuckles! The referee wakes up to see the pinfall: 1....2....3! It's over. A **** rating for a good contest.

Chris Benoit lost his mind two months ago, and one of the first RAW Superstars to try to shut him down was Edge. The two of them have battled numerous times for months, and tonight they do battle once more.

Edge vs. Chris Benoit

Edge hits a right hand. Chris Benoit fights out of a grapple. Belly to belly suplex by Benoit. The referee bumps after catching a wild right hand and is down. Edge gets hit with a running splash mountain out of the corner. Pinfall attempt, but the ref is conveniently laid out. Benoit only gets knees on a splash. Edge slams Chris Benoit down. Spinebuster by Edge. Cover for a two count. Death valley driver by Edge, Chris Benoit got planted. Cover, but there's a last second kick-out. Benoit blocks the suplex attempt. Vicious snap suplex! Edge got whipped over hard. Hooks the leg for a close fall. Edge kicks Chris Benoit in the gut to reverse the momentum. Edge moves in for the kill. Edgeocutioner!!! That shook the ring. 1....2....3!! **1\2 rating for a decent contest.

When the legendary Ric Flair retired at the end of April, he was brutalized by his former pupil Dave Batista, who has since stolen Flair's "Nature Boy" mannerisms for his own. Batista's former rival Rico has stepped up to the plate to try and defend Flair's honor.

Hard back suplex on Batista. Anyone remember when that was Shawn Michaels's finisher? Batista takes a hurrancarana from Rico. There's a two count on the pin. Batista reverses a Rico hammerlock. Rico receives some unexciting punishment. Rico takes a vertical suplex. Hooks the leg for a two count. Side suplex from Batista. Hooks the leg for a close fall. Batista strikes Rico. Rico blocks the suplex attempt. Flying reverse elbow by Rico. There's a two count on the pin. DDT from the top rope by Rico. That looked brutal. Cover, but there's a last second kick-out. Batista takes a flying neckbreaker from Rico. Rico hits a massive spinning kick to the jaw. Rico misses a clothesline. Rico takes a vertical suplex. Batista scores with a crappy looking standing spinebuster. Rico can barely stand. Here it comes - Batista Bomb. 1....2...3, it's finished. This gets a **3\4 rating. Perfectly Acceptable Wrestling.

Tajiri takes the advantage after a i-block-your-punch-you-don't-block-mine routine. Beautiful spinning arm drag out of the corner by Tajiri. There's a two count on the pin. Springboard dropkick from Tajiri. Nicely done. Cover, but there's a last second kick-out. Tajiri hits a dropkick on Eddie Guerrero. Tajiri hits a wicked chop that echoes through the building. Eddie counters an arm wringer with an elbow to the side of the head. Flying elbow from Eddie Guerrero. Power drive elbow by Eddie Guerrero. Eddie Guerrero floors Tajiri...and climbs the turnbuckles. Frog Splash!!! 1....2....3!! It's all over. That was good. **** rating.

Last month at Backlash, Rey Mysterio won the vacant Cruiserweight Title by defeating Christian at the end of a series of matches to determine a new champion. Tonight, Christian cashes in his rematch.

Cruiserweight Title Match - Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Christian

Back suplex on Rey, which is a backdrop to you NOAH fans. Rey blocks a punch. Kick from Rey Mysterio to the leg. Rey Mysterio misses a clothesline...and takes out the referee by mistake. Back heel kick off the second rope, Christian goes down. Hooks the leg, but the referee is still out. Christian reverses a waistlock. Stun Gun from Christian! There used to be this blonde guy in WCW in the early 90's who used that...i wonder what happened to him? Brainbuster suplex by Christian, who apparently is in the mood to bust some brains. Hooks the leg for a two count. Belly to belly off the top rope, Rey got folded up big time. Cover, but there's a last second kick-out. Christian drops an elbow...but misses. Fate can be so cruel. Flying reverse elbow by Rey Mysterio. Pin : 1 - 2 - 2.9999999. Christian ducks a wild right hand. Rey Mysterio slugs Christian, sending him down into the corner. While Rey fires up the crowd, Christian is removing the turnbuckle pad! Rey Mysterio comes over...but Christian grabs him by the tights and uses the leverage to slingshot Rey Mysterio face first into the exposed steel turnbuckle! Christian rolls up the stunned Rey Mysterio, and even puts his feet on the second rope to add insult to injury! 1....2...3! What a display of cheating from Christian. The fight has started up again! Rey Mysterio attacks Christian, and they brawl all around ringside, then into the crowd! They eventually disappear backstage, still fighting. I'll give this a ***1\4 rating.

Kurt Angle defeated Chris Jericho at Backlash to win the vacant World Title. Since that match, Jericho has done everything in his power to take out Angle until Angle finally broke down and gave Jericho another shot at the gold.

Pin, but Jericho is out just before the three count. Rude Awakening on Chris Jericho by Angle. Angle only gets knees on a splash. Jericho crushes Angle with a sweet running senton. Cover for a two count. Back heel kick off the second rope, Angle goes down. Pin, but Angle is out just before the three count. Second rope flying axe handle, Angle goes down. Dropkick connects, Angle goes down. Angle reverses a Chris Jericho hammerlock. Big clothesline on Jericho. Angle pulls a jumping piledriver out! Chris Jericho gets knocked to the ground by Angle. Here it comes...Angle Lock! Chris Jericho taps! That was good. **** rating.

And I accidentally double-clicked on the main event, so it skipped right to the Recap page. But John Cena retained the WWE Title in a fatal fourway by pinning Matt Hardy Version 2.0. The Rock and Brock Lesnar were also in the match. It got an 89% overall rating.
