The winners should always be allowed to defend their trophy. UEFA have fucked themslves over because they never thought this would happen again. Luckily for them the last time it happened, it happened with Real Madrid, since Madrid have the Spanish FA in their pockets and the decision was made for UEFA.

Liverpool should be in it next year, and they will be, I'm fairly certain.
