What can you say, the best team lost. Should Liverpool be allowed to defend it- NO. Rules are rules. they were not good enough to finish in a Champions League spot and were nearly 40 points behind the real Champions. Let them skulk in the Uefa Cup where they belong with the other second rate teams.
