I'm thinking they're going to do a three-way match at Summerslam with Batista facing Triple H and Randy Orton, but that's just speculation on my part.

Anyway that would be a good time to have Edge run down and use his contract. That is the best way they can have him use it, IMO, and actually makes the Money in the Bank Ladder Match look like it's worth winning (I'm hoping they make it a semi-tradition of sort).
