He dives a fair bit for Ireland too. Well, it's not diving, as such, he gets fouled but he hits the deck to make sure he gets the free kick. Like the defender will come into the back of him with a shoulder, and Duff will tumble when he probably could have stayed up. It takes pressure off our defenders if we can get it up to him, and he can do that.
My mate broke out his video of Ireland's WC 2002 the other week. Duff absolutely destroyed Germany in the group game. Should have beaten them by 3 or 4 goals, but Duff didn't get many goals back then. His finishing has gotten better over the past 2 or 3 seasons.
