I'd take Chile over Uruguay, but I'd take Venezuala over Chile for a few reasons. Firstly, Venezuala have never qualified for the World Cup and are regarded as the whipping boys of South America. So if they finish in 5th they'd be in a similar position to Australia in terms of inexperience. We'd actually have more experience than them cos at least we've made the World Cup before. Secondly, Chile have ALOT of supporters here, especially Melbourne. When South Melbourne played Colo Colo in a friendly here a few years ago, 5000 Chileans rocked up and they made ALOT of noise. Of course, 90,000 Australians at the MCG will overpower them in noise, but the trip to Chile will be very difficult.
I prefer Venezuala also because we played them in a friendly over there at the start of this year, without Kewell, Viduka and a few other first team regulars and held them to a 1-1 draw (only conceding right at the very end). Obviously this was only just a friendly game but without many regulars of the first team we shat over them for large periods of the game. If we play that well again I'm confident we could beat them 2-0 in Melbourne then hold out for a draw or a 1-0 loss or something over in Venezuala. Also I doubt there are many Venezualans in Melbourne.
