The NXT debut on CW averaged 895k viewers. I thought it was a very clever show. Themes ran throughout. A little detail I loved:

They put the finishers of Ethan Page and Trick Williams in their name graphics. If you were a fresh viewer, when Ethan Page hits Ego’s Edge through the table, it added dramatic effect.

And when Trick Williams wins with a Trick Shot instead of the Trick Kick, it underscores the “out of nowhere” quality in that moment.
