Movie was v funny. Played out pretty much exactly how literally everybody expected it to: Ryan Reynolds being Ryan Reynolds, Wolverine being the curmudgeonly foil to Deadpool's nonstop chatter, pretty paper-thin plot, a bunch of 4th-wall breaking, tons and tons of gratuitous violence and language, and some neat cameos and callbacks. I read one negative review about the movie that said something like "it trades heart for cheap laughs" and my dog if you're going into a Deadpool movie for heart you're going to be disappointed 10/10 times.

Incidentally enough, on the "heart" meter it did feel like a bit of a love letter to the early Fox superhero movies which for better or worse kind of encapsulated that early 2000's vibe.

Movie does strike me as one that probably won't warrant a whole lot of rewatches though.
