* Epic Games was recently involved in a new scandal regarding allegations of failing to pay royalties to the creator of the Hatoful Boyfriend following Epic purchasing the developer of it Mediatonic in 2021. The game's creator Hato Moa recently went on Twitter and revealed that he has not received any royalty check despite Epic continuing to earn sales off the game. Following Moa going public with his allegations, Epic responded to him on Twitter and stated that they would look into resolving he issue.

* According to Kotaku, Naughty Dog was recently hit with a wave layoffs with around 25 employees currently believed to have been let go from the company. It was also reportedly that the developer is also currently dealing with serious issues related to the development of the multiplayer spin-off game for their The Last of Us series and it is currently on an "on ice" status following Sony diverting money away from the project.

* To continue the trend of today's bad news theme, Team 17 is currently rumored to be getting hit with a "significant" amount of layoffs following the recent departure of the company's CEO, according to Eurogamer.

Filling the vacant CEO role will reportedly be Ann Hurley, the commercial operations director for Team17. Pattison joined Team17 in 2021 after serving for over eight years at PlayStation.
